We reviewed the theatrical release (link), and it’s fun enough to revisit sooner than later with the kids, and this animated thrill ride blasts into homes tomorrow on digital platforms nationwide courtesy of Universal Pictures!

Showcasing an all-star lineup to voice the iconic pop culture characters, THE SUPER MARIO BROS. MOVIE stars Chris Pratt (Jurassic World franchise), Charlie Day (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The Lego Movie), Anya Taylor-Joy (Last Night in Soho, The Queen’s Gambit), Keegan-Michael Key (Key & Peele), Seth Rogan (Neighbors, An American Pickle), Jack Black (Kung Fu Panda franchise) and Fred Armisen (“Wednesday,” Portlandia).

The movie tells the story of two Brooklyn plumbers who are brothers and best friends: Mario, the brave one with the “let’s-a go” attitude, and the perpetually anxious Luigi, who would prefer to go nowhere. We open with the Super Mario Brothers reckoning with their struggling plumbing business, and wind up in a whirlwind adventure through Mushroom Kingdom. Through their journey, we meet a cast of familiar, lovable characters, ultimately uniting together to defeat the power-hungry villain, Bowser. The Super Mario Bros. Fans of Indiana Jones can rejoice! Not only has all the thrilling adventures of Indiana Jones been remixed in Dolby ATMOS on 4K Ultra HD™ in this upgrade, but also they can see it again on the big screen! The worlds and jungles come alive in this Steven Speilberg approved project. And to witness all the past exploits prior to the release of the fifth and final film may be important!

Here, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull will be available for the first time on 4K Ultra HD with Dolby Vision® and HDR-10 from Lucasfilm Ltd. and Paramount Home Entertainment. For the home release, each disc will be beautifully packaged with artwork inspired by the original theatrical posters and will include access to a digital copy of each respective film.

In the United States, Raiders of the Lost Ark will be returning to select theatres on June 4th and 7th. LEGO Jurassic Park and Where to Find those Dinos

There’s new toy sets coming for this extension to the LEGO Jurassic Park brand.

LEGO Jurassic Park 30th Anniversary Sets - All box artAlthough the LEGO Group revealed five new playsets as part of the 30th anniversary of the original Jurassic Park movie a while ago, what’s next in other media fronts remains unknown. Instead of reporting this news right away, I was hoping for additional news about the LEGO Jurassic Park license before saying anything, but alas nothing has been announced.

I’m a huge fan of the animated series which is a follow up of the original trilogy and every month or so, I binge watch the silliness that goes on. This particular licensed IP debuted in 2015 as a video game from TT Fusion, and I just chuckle at the thought of LEGO dinosaurs tearing brick buildings up during their rampage.

In the meantime, I’ll be eying the following playsets that will be available to purchase on June 1, 2023.
