Wang Yibo’s Next Film Born to Fly is Scheduled to Land in America This Month!

We have updates in when Born to Fly (also known as King of the Sky) will make a globetrotting flight to cinema near you!

Born to Fly Promo ImageHopefully the announcement made on April 1st is no joke. Well GO USA announced on Twitter when Wang Yibo’s next film, Born to Fly (长空之王), will land in America and it is April 28, 2023. This date includes when it’ll debut in Mainland China too.

Wang Yibo is at the heart of why fans worldwide are giddy. For for what we are excited for, hopefully the delay to improve the CGI will be worth it! This movie was supposed to be delivered last year, but was pulled after test screenings showed not everyone was pleased with the digital effects work done. Those people argued this film was not on par with what Hollywood can do. Now that it’s ready, it can embark on a global release.

We will update as soon as Well GO USA also adds this release to their official webpage and has further information.

Born to Fly Movie Trailer

Wang Yibo’s Next Movie is Born to Fly in April According to Latest Reports

Born to Fly is Wang Yibo’s next film, and despite being pulled, early criticism and comparisons to Top Gun: Maverick, what’s planned and revealed so far looks terrific.

Born to FlyJust when fans of Wang Yibo can’t get enough of him in Hidden Blade, this heartthrob will soar into theatres again with Born to Fly (长空之王) come late April. It was originally slated for release last year in China during the month of September, but it was pulled. Not every media outlet said it was postponed.

A lot of reports suggested this work shares similar DNA with Top Gun: Maverick (including Hollywood Reporter). However, I suspect the producers pulled it to edit the story so that it’s not in verbatim. Oscar Wilde said, “Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery that mediocrity can pay to greatness,” and I have no problems with this direction.

I’m sure the digital special effects were an enormous concern too. According to Radii.co, the feature was delayed to fix those sequences. That is, the producers want those aerial moments look as authentic as possible. This sequences we’re shown shows the limits China’s latest technological advance can soar, and yes, I have Van Halen’s song “Dreams” playing in my head when watching the movie trailer.

Thoughts on the Best Super Bowl Sunday Movie Trailers

Out of the 10 Super Bowl Sunday Movie Trailers and 2 TV spots, we give our thoughts on the best ones that got us excited for the film thsmelves!

Super Bowl Sunday Movie TrailersMost regular film previews can last up to two minutes, but that’s provided you’re seeing them in theatres. Unfortunately, all of the Super Bowl Sunday movie trailers satisfies this criteria. The Flash is its own independent entry than make the list because I thought, “Didn’t I see this before?”

I’ll have to watch my home video release of the television series’ first season to verify if the house is indeed the same architecture, and check if that version of Barry Allen reacted the same way when witnessing his mom’s death. The interior of that home might have been reused, and aside from that, we learn Batman will be key to this adaptation of Flashpoint. His role may well save an otherwise maybe doomed film.

Are We Ready to Run 3000 Miles of Chang’an?

Light Chaser Animation’s 3000 Miles of Chang’an is slated for release this Summer, and it’ll be different from their previous works.

3000 Miles of Chang'an Light Chaser Animation‘s upcoming 3000 Miles of Chang’an is a radical departure from their New Gods line of films, and it’s only a mere six or seven months away from release! In what I could dig up about this upcoming title is that the story will focus on a different aspect of Chinese History. Instead of focusing on further heroics from characters from classic folklore, what this latest tale will deal with is brotherly love, and the life and times of two famous poets.

Perhaps the switch is for the better. As much as I love to see further adventures from Ne Zha and Yang Jian from the New Gods series of films, perhaps they are meant to be sunsetted in favour for further tales to expound on a world today’s Chinese children don’t know about.

Although the tease at the end of New Gods: Yang Jian suggested Monkey will get to tell his story about those times from his persepctive, I suspect that won’t happen anytime soon.

A Quick Look on Dungeons and Dragons Honor Among Thieves Second Trailer and Merchandise Updates

Dungeons and Dragons Honor Among Thieves has a second trailer! Although it adds one new tease on what’s already known, it’s the humour that’s the highlight here!

Honor Among Thieves Second TrailerHow many classic monsters can viewers recognize in Dungeons and Dragons Honor Among Thieves second trailer? There’s one add to the list of what’s already known and overall, serves up nothing really news to what’s known which I wrote about some months ago.

Here, we are finally told about the tale: after Edgin the Bard (Chris Pine) and his merry team consisting of Holga the Barbarian (Michelle Rodriguez), Xenk the Paladin (Regé-Jean Page), Simon the Sorcerer (Justice Smith), Doric the Druid (Sophia Lillis) and Forge the Rogue (Hugh Grant), realise they worked for the wrong side, they have to do right. To do good according to the thieves way of living is a must, and it’s good to see some story reveal tie in to the film’s title.

After they accomplished one theft, they have another planned to correct their mistake. But things get hairier when the Red Wizards cometh to bring the end of the world. The plot is nothing special and the vibe suggests that this goofy gang of miscrents will find a way to do what’s right. Even though everything is foreign to them–including the use of the American spelling of the word for better marketing purposes here–they’ll find a way to correct that mistake.

But when this latest trailer reveals the undead will make up a mighty climax, perhaps there will be more surprises. I’d love to see an appearance of a Lich appear to put a wrench into the entire plan!
