Shadowdark, The Western Reaches RPG Hot New Expansion is on Kickstarter!

Instead of asking for help from the corporate industry, Kelsey Dionne’s Shadowdark, The Western Reaches is asking fans of old school gaming to help reach publication.

Kelsey Dionne ‘s Shadowdark is a sure to shake the TTRPG industry up. This role playing system gives game masters the power to make the call on how actions get resolved. And now this world has an expansion titled Shadowdark, The Western Reaches. After two years in the market, the amount of people moving over to a more back to basic fantasy environment is becoming large. From an official Discord channel to Reddit fan pages , what I am finding is even winning me over.

A welcome package at $199 USD provides newcomers with everything released to date. After getting a headache because of fellow players arguing about why certain game physics must operate this way or the fact there’s far too much data to break down an action, this remedy may well be worth it. Very few people use the Old School Renaissance (OSR) method these days, and upon discovering this game system, I know where to invest my dollars.

After its debut at Steam Next Fest, Quest Master, is now available as a demo to play! This dungeon-designing sandbox fantasy adventure from publisher Apogee Entertainment and developer Skydevilpalm grants adventurers the keys to craft custom dungeons, and much more. To unleash this demo to the public is so far very addicting and different from other games of the past era. To be able to be Dungeon Master says it all!

It also has a lot of retro style sound design and digital aesthetics that fans of Wild Arms and also Zelda are familiar with!

Freedom Games is Making Dark Deity Free this Weekend!

Dark Deity and it’s free for newcomers to download and play this weekend!

Dark Deity, the turn-based tactical RPG inspired by the genre’s classics from developer Sword and Axe and publisher Freedom Games, celebrates bringing its army count to more than 100,000 units sold across Nintendo Switch and PC versions. It’s clear that the developers put some effort into sprucing up the presentation for the Switch, but for every step forward, there was an awkward step back. Given the choice, I would go back to the Steam version for the superior version for the cleaner visuals and mouse control. otherwise they’re completely on par. But if you’re looking for a light Fire Emblem style experience, especially on the go, Dark Deity on Switch might just scratch that itch.”

RPG Dice: Heroes of Whitestone is a Rollin’ Experience

Avid Dungeons and Dragons players have lots of options when wanting to find a similar experience in a digital video game. From official products like Baldur’s Gate, which puts the player first and persistent “Living” campaigns where it encourages strategy (and regular check-ins), the gambit is wide and varied.

WIMO Games has joined this world with RPG Dice: Heroes of Whitestone™. This game combines traditional board game style mechanics (navigating around like in Monopoly and getting cards which offer options in how to continue) with role playing type elements. Depending on the tile your team lands in, you either find treasure, get an encounter, progress through the story (like in a choose your own adventure novel) or have a chance to win more goodies to make your characters stronger. I recommend playing this game on a tablet than smartphone. The amount of details in the cartoon style graphics and all the buttons you’re navigating through doesn’t work well on a small screen.

Salt and Sacrifice Lives On “To Hunt Mages” in this expansion
