Michael Bay’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Release Pushed Back

Those are very tough times for any version of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to get onto the big screen again.

TMNT It’s too bad that Michael Bay’s version of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cannot be shelved. Instead, this movie is being pitted into a month where it has very little competition to worry about. This film is being shoved back to play in theaters August 12th, so there’s space between this film and Transformers 4, reported Deadline.

That works when the release date for the next film in the Transformers saga is set for June 27, 2014.

Transformers Prime: Predacons Rising set for Oct 1st!

The video cover and synopsis has been announced and the date set for this release. The Blu-ray release of Transformers Prime: Predacons Rising is set for October 1, and the DVD will follow one week later. Both are available for pre-order via Amazon.

The move to have a different date may seem unusual, but Shout Factory may be pushing for one version to sell more of than the other. Curiously, no date has been set for when Season Three will release to home video.

Transformers Exodus and Exile Examined (with 3rd Book News)

From the first book titled Rebellion to the last, Reconnaissance, publisher Del Ray has changed the formula around by not offering a teasinFg title like “Transformers: Extinction.”

transformers exodus Fans of either Transformers Prime the animated series or the Fall/War of Cybertron games are well advised to read the book Transformers: Exodus: The Official History of the War for Cybertron. Written by Alex Irvine, he does a remarkable job in penning the lead up to one of cartoondom’s greatest wars of all time. As most fans know, the conflict is largely centered on a battle of wills between Autobot leader Optimus Prime and Decepticon dictator Megatron.

But for the leader of the Decepticons, there is more to him than meets the eye. He was a nameless factory worker who quite literally fought his way to the top. Domination is all he knew as he fought in the gladiatorial pits of Kaon. Despite his limited dealings with higher Cybertronian society as a whole, he believed they were corrupt. He wanted to do away with the caste system that was eroding the robotic civilization. He took on the name of Megatronus and preached that equity should exist. That is, no social or occupational ranking system is required to determine one’s way of life. Freedom should exist for everyone. Orion Pax agreed with this up-and-coming orator about what needs to be done, but somewhere along the way, a rift between them would form and a war would erupt.

Transforming Transformers, for Real!

With Takara now involved, the potential for new Transformers to arrive (and maybe just in time for the next Transformers series than film) with motorized parts to transform planes, trains and automobiles into giant mecha is going to be exciting.

Takara Tomy’s toy line may well get more than just a reinventing of the wheel. Their next line of products may soon transform if the videos from the Tokyo Toy Show 2013 are any indication. In prototype form is a Transformers vehicle that’s capable of morphing from car to humanoid robot form, and no doubt vice versa. All of this can be currently powered by an iPhone.

More Transformers Goodness is Being Released by Takara Tomy

North America will have it’s own toys as evident by this photo of a pre-released Transformers Generations Titan Metroplex.

Three Transformers will be appearing courtesy of Takara Tomy. It is all part of their new Transformers Go! Ninja Combiner team. Transformers Go! is a Japanese extension of the American Transformers: Prime/ Beast Hunters series. The upcoming releases consist of Sensuimaru (shark), Gekisomaru (lion) and Hishomaru (phoenix).
