Heads up! Indie Videogame, Kitsune Tails is Ready to Rumble!

Following its debut at OTK Games Expo, Kitsune Tails looks ready to impress!

The first public hands-on demo of Kitsune Tails, the platformer styled after beloved classics and steeped in Japanese mythology, arrives ahead of Steam Next Fest, alongside a new gameplay trailer debuted at OTK Games Expo. Developer Kitsune Games and publisher MidBoss™ brings their platformer with queer relationships to PC, Linux and Steam Deck in Q3 2024.

Unfurl the ancient tellings of a tale revolving around human ideas of romance and love that come with the complicated relationships of mythological beings. Explore the intro world in the Steam Next Fest demo to see first-hand the fire of Yuzu’s determination to one day confront her former mentor turned antagonist and save her love interest from a sealed elemental prison.

In the world of Lost Epic, the world is ruled by the powerful New Gods and their followers, the Holy Ones. They compete to control the land and destroy the remnants of humanity and other intelligent beings who live there. People who have been rejected or been cast aside by these deities are known as The Perishing, left with little more in life than waiting for death to one day claim them.

As a chosen knight, the player has the power to stand up to the New Gods and serve as a beacon of hope for the people of the world.

Lost Epic is a side-scrolling platformer that can fit right in next to other action fantasy games like Bloodstained or the legendary Castlevania series. In this style of game, known as a Metroidvania, you explore a two-dimensional world, jumping and climbing through a variety of environments and searching for the tools you need to unlock new and more challenging areas.

Bread and Fred’s Ready for Winter Play with this Steam Demo

Bread and Fred takes the challenge to new heights by introducing the cooperative element of two pals forever-connected on their way to the finish line.

Bread and Fred, the co-op platformer developed by Sand Castles Studio and published by Apogee Entertainment, climbs into view with a new demo on Steam for PC featuring remote play just in time for the holidays, before swinging towards launch in 2023.

Wrap up in some scarves, grab your best bud, and work together on a momentous co-op journey to help adorable penguins, Bread and Fred, reach the top of the snow-capped summit. Get in sync and jump on one, two, three! You’ll have to be clinging and swinging across platforms, ledges, and gaps. Triumph over every hurdle in a winter wonderland that is equally as cute as it is challenging.

The thrill of victory and the agony of defeat are attached at the hip, but which friend will be the weakest link? Hold on tight with Bread’s little penguin flippers and anchor to the ground as Fred times the perfect swing to clear massive gaps, pulling their companion up the ledge before gravity drags them back down the slippery slopes. Kitsune Zero, the prequel to Kitsune Tails, the platformer styled after beloved classics and steeped in Japanese mythology while featuring diverse relationships, comes to life on Steam today, available as DLC for Super Bernie World, the electoral activism platformer downloaded by more than 350,000 voters at the ballot box.

Journey through a new story created by developer Kitsune Games (MidBoss, Ultra Hat Dimension, Super Bernie World) in collaboration with publisher MidBoss™ (2064: Read Only Memories). Experience the original four worlds of Super Bernie World, now setin the Kitsune Tails universe.

Run and jump as fox-spirit Yumi across eight new worlds exclusive to the DLC. Dodge high speed enemy attacks from the Edo soldiers in an all new hard mode made to challenge speedrunners and platformer enjoyersalike. Collect powerups fueling Yumi’s abilities to grow in size, throw striking fireballs, and become indestructible for a temporary amount of time.

Salt and Sacrifice Lives On “To Hunt Mages” in this expansion

Salt and Sacrifice, the next installment in the million-plus selling soulslike platformer Salt and Sanctuary series from Ska Studios and Devoured Studios, launches on PC via the Epic Games Store in Early 2022 alongside PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 versions.

In the decaying Altarstone Kingdom, twisted Mages spread corruption through the land. As chaos descends, only the Marked Inquisitors – doomed warriors condemned to fight – can hope to halt the Mages and their wicked Magic. March through the Western boundary of Altarstone, hunting and destroying Mages before turning remains into powerful weapons and armor. Tasomachi: Behind the Twilight is a fairly simple platforming game which is visually gorgeous. You play as Yukumo, a young adventurer who journeys around the world in her airship. Unfortunately it takes some damage and crashes in a region covered in an oppressive fog. She soon meets a Nezu, a little fox-like being (named Kogara) who tells her that all the people have fled. He becomes Yukumo’s guide for the journey ahead, giving the exposition she needs to find her next challenge.

Yukumo’s tasks are to find enough ‘Sources of Earth’ to repair her airship, and to restore the sacred trees that protect the local towns. It also keeps the fog at bay.

There are three types of gameplay: Exploring, airship flight, and restoring the Tree Sanctuaries.
