It’s Delightful Disney’s Lilo and Stitch is Celebrating 20 Years! So Where Are They Now?

Disney’s Lilo and Stitch is celebrating 20 years today! Fans take a trip down the Post-Renaissance Age in this summary:

Lilo and Stitch are celebrating their 20th anniversary! Disney’s commitment to this odd couple is ongoing, including have a few pieces of exclusive merchandise (a pin and stuffed doll), and their plan for a live-action remake is late. There’s been no word on when or if it has begun filming. All fans can hope for is a release this year at least if it’s supposed to be for this celebration.

Ever since this film’s release June 16, 2002, I’ve been obsessed with the blue fuzzy alien. The television series was about the duo collecting accidentally released experiments at the height of Pokémon’s popularity. Thus, I can’t say it was an appropriate continuation. I tuned in because Stitch’s silly antics never grew old.

Obi-Wan Kenobi. After Four Episodes, Is He Damaged Goods or Sadly Something Else?

Now that Obi Wan Kenobi is well past the half-way mark, what I’m discovering is the fact he’s damaged goods.

If I was “Forced” to watch only one series set in the Star Wars universe, it’s no doubt going to be Obi-Wan Kenobi. There’s plenty of past and present products to put on an infinite loop with the PVR, and it’s rare to find a work that successfully bridges the gap between various narratives and returns to the familiar. That is, the tales from this franchise follows a checklist of tropes to appease fans.

One of them means seeing this Jedi weld a lightsaber. But instead, this miniseries doesn’t make use of this weapon right away. It’s more like a classic Cowboys and Indians challenge for the first three episodes, at least. But when we’re dealing with a Jedi Master, he’ll be swinging that lightsaber in no time!

Dwayne Johnson‘s transition from The Scorpion King to Black Adam is perfect to show just how powerful this warlord has become. Technically, they’re not the same character, but I can see the similarities. Both vagabonds were determined to destroy, if not rule the world by the sword.

I’ve been eager for this release for a super long time. It doesn’t matter anymore if all the Egyptian references are stripped. The costuming proposes a similar type of world and I suspect there’ll still be some references to this Ancient world set in another planet far, far away. And as for who Adam sold his soul to (after his son’s sacrifice) for immortality, there’s no clues in this trailer. It definitely isn’t Anubis!

Alternative Band ego apartment’s First Album is Here!

Not every sound coming out of Japan is about J-pop and for music lovers, ego apartment is a welcome change of pace. This band quickly become a hot topic in the scene. They’ve been featured on numerous curated playlists both in Japan and overseas, and they are considered an act who are ahead of the times. Their track ‘FOG’ was included on Spotify’s ‘RADAR: Early Noise Japan 2022’ playlist, a selection of artists from Japan who are expected to turn heads in 2022. Their September release ‘Wrong with u’ has generated over 1 million plays on Spotify, cementing their reputation as a band with a bright future.

Following the success of the May 18 release of ‘FOG’, their self titled album ‘EGO APARTMENT’ was released June 1, 2022. The album contains 14 songs steeped in ego apartment’s unmistakable bedroom alternative sound, and it’s no exaggeration to say that each and every one of them is strong enough to be a lead track!

About the Band:

Made up of three members all born in 1998, ego apartment is a three-piece band based in Japan. They switch freely between two vocalists with different styles and lyrics in Japanese and English, producing an alternative sound that feels both analog and brand new. The group consists of Dyna (laptop, bass, band leader), who hails from Saipan Island; Peggy Doll (guitar and vocals), from Sakai City, Osaka; and Zen (guitar, vocals), from Sydney.

The band switch freely between two vocalists with different styles and lyrics in Japanese and English, producing an alternative sound that feels both analog and fresh. Over Dyna’s tracks that are simultaneously filled with both melancholy and a sense of fun, Zen sings with a beautiful and distinctive voice, while Peggy Doll has a remarkable voice and extraordinary melody sense, resulting in a sound that is unique to ego apartment.

The September 2021 release of their fourth track ‘Wrong with u’ caught the attention of listeners around the world, steadily surpassing 1 million plays on Spotify. The band’s inclusion on Spotify’s ‘RADAR: Early Noise 2022’ playlist placed ego apartment as one of 10 breakthrough artists expected to hit the big time in 2022.
