If You Love Star Wars Vision Then The Art of Star Wars: A New Hope—The Manga Will Rekindle That Passion

Star Wars Visions isn’t the only place to get alternate world takes of what goes on in a galaxy far, far away. With the Art of Star Wars: A New Hope, a lot of comparisons can be made to see how styles have changed.

As part of the Star Wars Celebration, Dark Horse Comics is announcing that they will publish The Art of Star Wars: A New Hope—The Manga. Two stunning volumes will each be available wherever books are sold, and will spotlight Hisao Tamaki’s original art from his acclaimed 1997 manga adaptation of Star Wars: A New Hope and include a new English translation. Ahead of retail launch in Summer 2026, Dark Horse Comics will also be offering special editions through the publisher’s first ever Kickstarter campaign.

This beautifully drawn manga will be available through Kickstarter in two distinct editions, each offering a unique way to experience this extraordinary adaptation. The Collector’s Edition features the same two-volume hardcovers that will be available at retail but with Kickstarter-exclusive covers. The Masterpiece Edition will faithfully reproduce Tamaki’s art at its original size in two volumes and include an auxiliary volume. Lucasfilm’s Maul – Shadow Lord, My Reaction and What to Watch In Prep (Which Surprisingly Isn’t Much)

Coming to Disney+ in 2026

During Star Wars Celebration, which is taking place in Tokyo, Japan, Lucasfilm treated fans to a teaser of their next animated project, titled Maul – Shadow Lord. His story is most likely going to continue to explore the seedy underside of this other universe. CCO Dave Filoni, VP of Animation Athena Portillo and voice actor Sam Witwer were present as the news and teaser dropped.

As far as I can recall, after a rough alliance with Ashoka in the former series, this villain could live out his life much like how Garmadon left after the fight with the Oni in LEGO Ninjago. Not much is known about what has happened since, and I have chosen not to read the comic books and novels which followed.

The production remains secret aside from the news. From ComicBookMovie.com, what’s revealed is that the animation style will not match the previous series and that has me hesitant to endorse. Despite making this visual change, I will watch it. At least, the story is going in the right direction. This website wrote:

“After the Clone Wars, Maul plots to rebuild his criminal syndicate on a planet untouched by the Empire,” reads a brief synopsis. “In a new series set after the events of the final season of The Clone Wars, Maul rises again to lead the underworld factions.

According to Variety’s report, Portillo said fans can expect to learn “a lot,” about Maul in the series. “Unfortunately, I can’t tell you too much, but what I can say is Sam Witwer’s involvement in the show has been pristine,” she said. “I’m very excited about him being able to review the scripts and provide input in all of that as well. Dave Filoni and Sam created the character for animation, and so it’s very important to hear his thoughts as well for the character depth.”

Ideas on How to Change Netflix’s The Electric State for the Better

Despite all the star power used to get fans of post-apocalyptic tales excited for The Electric State, this film generally falls flat for its execution, but I got ideas on how to salvage it.

The Electric State is not an entirely terrible film. Had The Russo Brothers taken more creative liberty and came up with adding a horrific element, I’d love it! When the robots in this film made me think of those from the cinematic adaptation of Five Nights at Freddy’s, just what I imagined up would have been even more thrilling! But when this work is based on the work of another talent’s work, I have to wonder if Swedish artist Simon Stålenhag would approve.

While this work fails as being a road trip movie, where Michelle (Millie Bobby Brown) leaves her foster home to search for Chris (Woody Norman), at least parts of the world building are done right. And when she knows her brother is a genius in science and robotics, this can lead to problems in the long run. Someone can take advantage of him. In what he knows about combining the two, nobody or no device can be safe.

Although Slow to Crawl, Roger Corman’s The Monster from the Ocean Floor is Still Vintage Terror at its Best!

While Roger Corman’s The Monster from the Ocean Floor is not about Cthulhu, I had to hope! It’s still worth picking up to build that The Film Masters library!

When Roger Corman’s The Monster from the Ocean Floor is more notable as a home video release, that’s because of the bonus features offered. As my library of this producer’s films grows, I’m still in awe concerning what he’s backed.

Although this film directed by Wyott Ordung is not all that memorable in the long run, it’s still an influential watch. Although I’d rather turn to Target Earth (1954), that’s because it has a special place in my heart. As for this Aquarius work, I suspect it can be called first when concerning a familiar trope. When a lone woman is out to seek danger on her own, it’s safe to say some terror for somewhere is near! At least the restoration lives up to everything The Film Masters is famous for!

When Vampire Zombies From Space is Too Delicious Not To Miss. An Interview with Jakob Skrzypa.

As Vampire Zombies from Space continues to tour film festivals this year, the producers hope word of mouth will encourage others to see this fun campy film. After Horror Hound and the Great Canadian Film Fest, it’s sure to gain cult status in no time!

In what’s fang-tastic about Canadian styled science fiction cinema is that fans don’t know what to expect. With Vampire Zombies from Space, Jakob Skrzypa dreamed up more than just another satire about an alien invasion from terrors birthed from Western European and Haitian folklore. Although ancient alien conspiracists may say otherwise, it’s safe to say in our world, they have earthly origins!

This comedian, actor and producer has a wicked sense of humour to which those familiar with the works from the Toronto sketch comedy duo Fun Uncle (YouTube Channel) will recognize. And for those who haven’t seen his works before, there’s a good chance they’ll want to investigate his back catalogue of works!
