When Will Part-Time Comix’ The Drumsticks of Doom, Volume 2 Come Out?

When heavy metal and the supernatural go hand to hand, Drumsticks of Doom has everything a comic book reader would want! And the second issue of its sophmore series is coming soon!

Drumsticks of Doom Alt CoverWhen the talents behind the comic book, Drumsticks of Doom, are also musicians, this tribute perhaps inspired by Nelvana’s Rock & Rule is outstanding! Dan Dougherty (Touching Evil) and Jon Westhoff (Part-Time Comix) created a series which is very indie, and although this introduction has the feel of a starter project, I would like to know more.

And to find out what this team had previously done, I found YouTube videos of Dan’s concerts. He’s quite the talent (see below), and for Jon, all I found were interviews.

Kumi Koda Celebrates 25 Years! Best of and Concert News

Urban R&B Artist Kumi Koda is celebrating 25 glorious years since her debut, and yesterday, her record label released Live in Metaverse ~THE BEST~, to celebrate that fact!

Kumi Koda Live in the MetaverseKumi Koda’s Live in Metaverse ~THE BEST~ promises to be different for those who want an immersive listening experience. This unusual hits collection takes audiences to a “future best-of concert” to be held on December 6, 2093.

Unlike a conventional best-of album, this special collection recreates the feel of a live concert. A proper audio receiver is certainly required for that full on Dolby ATMOS sound experience. Listeners can play the album on YouTube or purchase the home video package through these Japanese retailers.

This singer rose to fame after a few tracks have been selected to be used in anime and video games. The most recognised is “Real Emotion/1000 no Kotoba” in Final Fantasy X-2 and she also voiced the character of Lenne. She also provided a track for the 2004 Cutie Honey movie, and has also done appearances starring as herself. And with no surprise, the KODA KUMI 25th Anniversary Documentary will tell all.

From Wild Arms to Armed Fantasia, This Video Game is Worth Waiting For!

The best part of why Wild Arms is so beloved is because of the music first, and world building second. It lives again under a new name: Armed Fantasia!

Armed Fantasia- To the End of the Wilderness Prromo PosterWhen I last wrote a retrospective that included the latest status of the Wild Arms franchise, not much has changed. Although the original is available on the PlayStation5, sadly no one is interested in continuing. There was a Wild Arms Mobile and Million Memories for smartphones, but sadly when it didn’t get translated and offered to an international market, the game died. Thankfully, executive producer Akifumi Kaneko is not letting the world he helped create fade. In its place is a spiritual successor titled Armed Fantasia, which is still in development.

When Becoming Led Zeppelin Concerns The Highlights of Their Early Years….

Everything you want to know about the talents before Becoming Led Zeppelin is well chronicled in this latest documentary.

Becoming Led Zeppelin Movie PosterNow playing in theatres

Most documentaries about bands no longer active rarely get the musician’s seal of approval, and when we’re dealing with supergroup Led Zeppelin, director Bernard MacMahon better get the facts right! In what his work offers is a look at their start. It begins with looking at who Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, John Bonham and Robert Plant are before they met.

What’s great about this work is this filmmaker is not focussing on any specific individual. The survivors are all there to reminisce about fond times. When they were young, the first act shows how music entered their lives, what they did before meeting, and that famous session zero.

Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf Connection is set to Feature the Musical Stylings of Kaede Higuchi and Kanae

There’s more than Dungeons and Dragons in store with Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf! The music of Kaede Higuchi and Kanae will close off and may tie in to what’s going on when this anime debuts!

Kaede Higuchi and Kanae’s New Single Yummy YummyVTubing is very popular in Asia and they’re becoming much more mainstream. According to the latest news, the ending theme for the anime, Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf! will be sung by virtual idols Kaede Higuchi and Kanae. These two talents from the Nijisanji group operated by ANYCOLOR Inc. are getting noticee, and their song “Yummy Yummy” is set to debut January 29, 2025 and the series will begin broadcasting that month.

As for when this phenomenon will be noticeable in the Western world, that’s still an uncertainty. I fully expect it to happen at some point, but for now, I will just watch what this fast paced industry is pumping out and offer some editorial when it’s appropriate. I’m more curious about the anime, hence my interest about this news!
