Transformers Earthspark Needs More Starscream! A DVD Release Early Season Wrapup

Although the home video release doesn’t offer any extra featurettes regarding behind-the-scenes production, hopefully a complete Transformers Earthspark release will change that.

Keeping up with Transformers Earthspark can be tough. It can be found on Paramount Plus, the streaming service and Nickelodeon (USA) but when not everyone subscribes to either, tuning in from another country requires patience. I’ve lost track of when YTV would finally offer the remaining episodes; this station didn’t immediately offer them and recently, this network started cycling the first half all over again rather than offer new episodes (to which not even Nick has aired).

What I’ve learned after acquiring the home video release is that it is great at connecting to the G1 series. Those classic moments were reproduced in cel animation, and that’s enough for me to say I love the presentation! Also, this new series evolves the premise that’s defined this franchise for a long time. There are certain episodes which had me wanting to pause and rewind to search for Easter eggs, and the mid-season finale “Age of Evolution” sets up a world where newly formed allegiances are challenged.

The worlds and jungles come alive in this Steven Speilberg approved project. And to witness all the past exploits prior to the release of the fifth and final film may be important!

Here, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull will be available for the first time on 4K Ultra HD with Dolby Vision® and HDR-10 from Lucasfilm Ltd. and Paramount Home Entertainment. Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, A Modern Family Comedy than All Out Fantasy

In the long run, Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is more about celebrating the game’s 50th anniversary one year early.

Thankfully, the adaptation of the granddaddy of all role-playing games to cinema lives up to most expectations. At first I wasn’t sure if I’d like Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves because of the trailers. It had more of a Marvel movie vibe than anything else.

The full presentation should have dialled the laughs down, and made the fantasy setting feel a bit more mediaeval. Thankfully, the horror elements are done right. The undead are real, and they are waiting to conquer the Forgotten Realms. The armies of Szass Tam are the evil dead and living beings are needed to make new ones. And when Edgin Darvis (Chris Pine) crosses paths with them, the trouble only gets worse.

Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves Gets on Tame Impala’s Wings of Time!

Fans of Tame Impala will soon get a chance to listen to his latest tune for D&D: Honor Among Thieves. Wings of Time may well be the closing track.

Theatrical Poster for D&D Honor Among Thieves and Wings of Time Today, Tame Impala (Kevin Parker) has released “Wings of Time,” an original song written for Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves from Paramount Pictures and eOne. The track is out everywhere via Fiction (distributed by Virgin Music Group). Listen to “Wings of Time” and links to where it can be heard is compiled in this collection here.

“Being asked to do a track for the D&D soundtrack seemed like an unmissable opportunity to indulge in my long time love of fantasy prog rock,” says Parker. “I recruited my good friend Nicholas Allbrook, who is the person I know appreciates this subject matter the most. We rented a villa in Spain, that kind of felt like a castle, for two nights whilst on tour for Primavera. That location got us in the right frame of mind and it went from there. We stayed up late coming up with weird ideas and song lyrics.”

Cowabunga Dudes! TMNT Mutant Mayhem is Coming in One Year’s Time!

In addition to this logo announcment, the TMNT Mutant Mayhem mural is spotted in New York City on the corner of Canal St. and Lafayette.

Although the details are scant, Seth Rogan and Paramount Pictures wants fans to know that in precisely a year’s time, TMNT Mutant Mayhem will hit theatres! This animated film will hit theatres August 4, 2023. And over at Otakunoculture.com, we love our turtles! Well, minus the Michael Bay films, that is.

This producer said in the past that it’ll focus on these turtles in the half shell will be embrace everything that a presumedly modern teen will face. This work was first announced to be in development in 2020, and it’s good that we’re finally hearing there’s movement in this project. Nickelodeon plans to follow-up with additional projects too, and this other studio says it will focus on the villains. With the film, we can expect it to bring on some fond favourites and perhaps create some new ones. Baxter Stockman has always been that fly on the wall which our own Ed Sum hopes can be more than the comedic relief from the classic series I grew up with.

It’s No Spoiler! Behind the Scenes with Top Gun Maverick

This featurette releaased today looks at a few things that went on during production.

Nearly everyone knows just how much Tom Cruise was a taskmaster while making Top Gun Maverick. He’s a demanding entertainer for a reason, and it shows when he’s passionate about a film–especially one that helped make him a huge name in Hollywood.

This featurette looks at a few aspects he and his stars had to endure. A significant part of this film won’t be faked with CGI. Just how all those cameras are mounted onto planes for the external shots are a bit of a mystery, but I’m sure a home video release will explain that in due time.

I appreciate the care and attention Cruise puts into the movies he’s executive producing. The wait will be worth it, and to revisit this world is bound to be exciting. Plus, we get an official explanation for why this sequel took so long to come to be!
