G.I. Joe: Wrath of Cobra Continues the Ongoing Battle!

The story behind G.I. Joe: Wrath of Cobra will excite some fans as will this be the final showdown?

GI JOE Wrath of Cobra Poster Image Fans of long running IPs can get a dose of what being an elite special force is like with G.I. Joe: Wrath of Cobra, a retro-style beat ‘em up side-scroller set in the legendary Hasbro owned universe. Developed Maple Powered Games and publisher Freedom Games, videogamers have to get ready for G.I. Joe’s biggest mission yet!

This game will be available on PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG as well as Nintendo Switch in Q1 2024, as revealed at The MIX Next, a showcase expo where indie developers can show off their works in progress.

This legendary franchise returns for arcade-style beat’em up action with Duke, Scarlett, Snake Eyes, Roadblock, and other beloved franchise favourites. Navigate land, air, sea, and even space through iconic locations like Cobra Island, the Pit, Cobra’s top-secret underwater base, and more as you thwart the devious Cobra Commander’s latest scheme to take over the world.

The Wait For 9 Years of Shadows to Hit Nintendo Switch Won’t Be Long

The twisting corridors of Castle Talos are ready to be mapped and sequence-broken today for anyone up to the task to experience 9 Years of Shadows.

9 Years of Shadows, the resplendent pixel art Metroidvania from developer Halberd Studios and publisher Freedom Games, restores radiant rainbows today on PCs via Steam and Epic Games Store. The Nintendo Switch edition will get its time to shine in Q3 2023.

Darkness and despair cover the entire world, stripping all living creatures of hope. Europa, a young warrior clad in elemental armour, joins forces with a ghostly teddy bear named Apino to banish this cursed black-and-white cloud hanging over the realm. Only together can they locate the source of the scourge within Castle Talos and usher in the return of brilliant colours.

Hungry for Voltaire: The Vegan Vampire to be Fully Unleashed!

It’s a dry and desolate place, and I can feel for Voltaire trying to get by without assistance.

Freedom Game‘s Voltaire: The Vegan Vampire is not an easy game to play in its current beta. This action-farming rogue-like brings requires searching for items to level up fast (for those power-ups), planning to survive the night and strategy if you’re to battle the midnight infestations. As a vampire who subsists on veggies, trying to deal with creatures attacking your harvest is the biggest threat! Out of all the games I’ve looked at this month, this game is one I’m regularly returning to the most.

What’s offered is challenging without feeling repetitve. Apparently, this character is the son of the famous Dracula. Who knows what happened to his (this game is non canon) servants. You’d think they are around to assist.

Freedom Games is Making Dark Deity Free this Weekend!

Dark Deity and it’s free for newcomers to download and play this weekend!

Dark Deity, the turn-based tactical RPG inspired by the genre’s classics from developer Sword and Axe and publisher Freedom Games, celebrates bringing its army count to more than 100,000 units sold across Nintendo Switch and PC versions. As Shawn Trommeshauser wrote, “Despite its faults, I enjoyed the time I spent playing Dark Deity, and I saw a lot of potential in the game. It’s clear that the developers put some effort into sprucing up the presentation for the Switch, but for every step forward, there was an awkward step back. Given the choice, I would go back to the Steam version for the superior version for the cleaner visuals and mouse control. otherwise they’re completely on par. But if you’re looking for a light Fire Emblem style experience, especially on the go, Dark Deity on Switch might just scratch that itch.”

From PC to Switch with Dark Deity

Despite its faults, I enjoyed the time I spent playing Dark Deity, and I saw a lot of potential in the game.

In the Kingdom of Delian, King Varic is waging a reckless war to avenge the death of his father. However, things are not going well for the demanding ruler. To bolster his forces, he forcibly conscripts every student in his military academy directly into the army, ready or not. This is where Irving and his companions come into the story. These trainees are pulled into a war they aren’t fully prepared for, and along the way are drawn into an even greater conflict that could upend their entire world.

This is the setup for Dark Deity, a Strategy Role Playing game developed by Sword & Axe LLC and published by Freedom Games. released last year on Steam after a successful campaign on Kickstarter, it has now been ported over to the Nintendo Switch.

Selling Your Soul to Dark Deity!

I enjoyed the time I spent playing Dark Deity and I see a lot of potential in this game. It has a solid foundation and it’s clear that with a little more polish, this game can truly shine.
