Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong. A Deadly Showdown to Keep The Monsterverse Warner.

It’s tough not to be reminded of when Godzilla faced The Avengers way back when while reading Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong.

Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong #5 Spoiler Alert

Five issues into Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong, what’s presented in the multiverse crossover is epic in scope and it won’t be a game changer since it’s more of a story developed to keep interest in the Monsterverse alive. The wait for Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is only two months away, but after seeing Godzilla Minus One, I think I’ve been spoiled. The stakes aren’t quite the same in this comic book world.

With this series, I’m caring more about what the beast represents and unless I’m a long time fan of the Justice League comics, I’m not as invested into this particular world. Also, I imagine the “Death” of Superman (again) is hardly a shock. After his fall, it’s up to the Justice League to figure out why a Pacific Rim type rift has formed to invite the Monsterverse in.

The revelations that’s offered in this issue offers a valid reason for why this mighty beast is what he is. He’s out to restore balance to the world by eliminating threats that can endanger it. I had to chuckle because he’s essentially Lex Luthor in a giant green suit. Both charater’s animosity for Kal-el is natural.

Unboxing Spin Master Black Adam Action Figures!

Spin Master Black Adam toy line might see a second wave of products, but no confirmation has been made.

Spin Master Black Adam Merchandise for the Black Adam movie is nearly everywhere these days, and that’s mostly due to the huge push to make this film succeed. Say what you will if it is tanking or not, but the fans love it! I firmly believe it’s a fun movie to watch for the wrestling fan. As for the comic book enthusiast, my movie review says it all, and it won’t stop me from wanting to own any Spin Master Black Adam product that comes my way. I went out of my way to collect everything How to Train Your Dragon from this company when that was hot!

This new toy figure line comes in different sizes, and I got to take a look at the 12″ collection! There’s more products to be found at the toy store, but in the meantime, I have this unboxing video and a commercial demonstrating the Power Punch edition in action.

The DC League of Super-Pets is All Bark, Little Bite

As for which team will save the day in The DC League of Super-Pets, that’s not too hard to guess.

The DC League of Super-Pets isn’t anything spectacular when considering who is behind the attempt to deconstruct the Justice League. This movie is not as appealing for comic book fans, since its designed for kids to enjoy.

I didn’t feel the need to watch this movie right away. Not even Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson can convince his legions of fans to see this film since he’s in the starring role. He voices Krypto, Superman’s ever faithful canine. When his master (John Krasinski) is ready to propose to Lois (Olivia Wilde), the dog feels underappreciated and gets jealous.

The writing team of Jared Stern and John Whittington have crafted a better tale than LEGO Batman because it’s not pandering. I had to chuckle as his chunky physique, and that’s not because he’s overweight. All the superheroes are redesigned to look like caricatures of what they represent. Unlike Ninjago the Movie, the dialogue isn’t as juvenile. What’s developed here is more natural, and shows some understanding of the lore from the comics.

Dwayne Johnson‘s transition from The Scorpion King to Black Adam is perfect to show just how powerful this warlord has become. Technically, they’re not the same character, but I can see the similarities. Both vagabonds were determined to destroy, if not rule the world by the sword.

I’ve been eager for this release for a super long time. It doesn’t matter anymore if all the Egyptian references are stripped. The costuming proposes a similar type of world and I suspect there’ll still be some references to this Ancient world set in another planet far, far away. And as for who Adam sold his soul to (after his son’s sacrifice) for immortality, there’s no clues in this trailer. It definitely isn’t Anubis!

Spin Master and DC’s Plans for The Batman Merch!

Spinmaster and DC partnered up to craft this line of The Batman merchandise.

batmobile Coming to toy stores are plenty of The Batman merchandise even this cape crusader may well want to rig up as vehicular drones. RC car enthusiasts can check out the Turbo Boost model over the regular release. Both have different features to make blazing in the night and scaring cats easy.

Spinmaster and DC partnered up to craft this line of wave one merchandise. It’s safe to say the release of The Riddler is waiting in the wings after the film’s hits cinemas March 4th. Be warned though, the following contains an image of the re-imagined Penguin and he doesn’t look too happy.

Not everyone can, but for those who want to ride the Batmobile, there are two options: pretend that they are where ever the vehicle pops up at conventions or pick up the remote control version of the toy, and fire up the augmented reality application (available on Android and iOS) to drive it around the neighbourhood! You’re more-or-less Robin with this “game.” Here, you can drive around all kinds of terrain and do battle with virtual foes within the app by activating weapons or other tools at your disposal.
