Newcomers to this hobby may not necessarily get a breakdown of the evidence that can be obtained when attempting to solve a mystery in a book.

One detail Cursed creator Wheeler got right is with the Romans invasion. They were adamant in doing away with the old religion. The Red Paladins see the mystical beliefs of the “pagans” as bad.
Netflix’s Cursed is a curious beast. It’s a retelling of a retelling (based on the novel of the same name by Tom Wheeler and Frank Miller) of the Arthurian legend from the point of view of Nimue (Katherine Langford). In most versions of the legend, she’s an enchantress–the Lady of the Lake–who gives King Arthur the mighty sword, Excalibur. She also wooed Merlin, stole his power and entombed him.
The wizard we see here is nothing like the one portrayed in literature. Vikings‘ Gustaf Skarsgård gives this interpretation a I’m without a purpose act. He’s not wise beyond his years and is more of an empty shell when we first meet him. His tale picks up closer to the end, which includes the eventual encounter with this teenage princess, but any idea of a romance is never alluded to.
Much of the tale takes place with Uther Pendragaon (Sebastian Armesto) at the throne. The young Arthur (Devon Terrell) we meet in this version has some African blood in him!

The cyberpunk revolution is here. No, we don’t have massive corporations in control yet, but the Internet–the backbone of what drives data back and forth between the user and computer systems–is considered everywhere. Brett Gaylor‘s The Internet of Everything nicely explores where we are at presently and perhaps where it will go.
His documentary suggests two possibilities: It will either be a surveillance nightmare or an eco-utopia. The outcome is based on what start-ups in Silicon Valley and Shenzhen will offer. Gaylor is a tech junkie much like how I am. We both hail from Victoria, British Columbia with its own unique tech scene. This city has a technology park interested in creating a future for all to enjoy.

There can only be one legacy after season one of Netflix’s Ragnarok has occurred. Anyone familiar with the Norse mythology knows it’s about the end times of this world; the clash of gods and giants devastates everything and what happens afterwards is simple: life is renewed. And for those who enjoyed watching this series, season two is confirmed!
In the work, THE CHILDREN OF ODIN: The Book of Northern Myths By Padraic Colum, after the original devastation, two humans survived. “They wakened, the world was green and beautiful again. These two fed on the dews of the morning; a woman and a man they were, Lif and Lifthrasir. Locke and Key is getting more than mainstream love.
Mention Joe Hill, and most fans of his works will most likely think of NOS4A2. It premiered last year to critical acclaim, and to follow up on this tale of terror is the Lovecraftian inspired Locke and Key on Netflix!
The series follows the adventures of three siblings who, after finding their father killed, move home to live with their mother Nina (Frances O’Connor). They discover the ancestral home is special, and gives them powers though possession of magical keys. When a sinister evil wants those artifacts, just what dangers they face means staying ahead …
The comic book ran from 2008 to 2013, and for those who have not had a chance to read the series that started it all, Graphite has an app and made the first story arc available to read for free! Five more volumes are available, and anyone subscribing (prices can begin from $6.50 on up) will have full access to Graphite’s library of over 25,000 comics, webtoons, manga titles, webcomics and strips, early access content and a fully ad-free reading experience!

Disney Plus is available across most major markets. As a huge fan of their original creations–namely Gargoyles, Lilo and Stitch, and Ducktales–to watch a random episode through the cloud instead of pulling a DVD out is terrific. I have choices. However, two weeks after its launch, I still have yet to subscribe since I’m in no rush. The big issue is with the fact that there’s only a handful of original works offered and I own physical copies of most of the titles since becoming a member of the Disney Movie Club.
Plus, not all of their made-for-television catalogue is fully available. I’m sure this will change over time as we now have a dedicated website to report on the latest adds.
