The Full Length Cut of CHEMY×STORY is now out for Kamen Rider Gotchard fans to Hip Hop To

Just how two boy-band groups like BACK-On and FLOW got to gether is rather simple, and they got some words to say about the full length lrelease of their hit song, CHEMY×STORY.

CHEMY×STORY Back-on x FLOW coverThe theme song of Kamen Rider Gotchard is now available as a single, and the groups BACK-ON and FLOW could not be any happier. Fans can delight in hearing the feature length cut of CHEMY×STORY! This track replaces the previous version, which was used since September of last year, and this take is quite the update!

Although this latest entry of the Kamen Rider franchise is about sixteen episodes in, it’s safe to say Shout! Studios will eventually pick this up for release in international markets.

This song is available to stream at the following sites through this portal:

From the Press Release:

“The story in Gotchard is filled with twists and turns, and this seemed like the perfect timing to add a surprise twist to the opening theme song as well. We thought of this band as soon as this project first came along, and we wanted to go further than all the ‘Rider’ collaborations of the past, so we crashed through the boundaries to bring this track to life!” said the band BACK-ON.

When Hundreds of Beavers Leave Their Nest, The Road Show Can Only Go So Far, but the Chase Will Be Country-Wide!

Not only do we have dates for when Hundreds of Beavers will hit Digital and Home Video, but it’ll continue to screen at theatres!

Hundreds of Beavers Movie PosterRyland B. Cole Tews and Mike Cheslik‘s Hundreds of Beavers is continuing to invade North America! After a successful film festival run back in 2023 at Fantasia (movie review link), this slapstick maverick film is spreading nation-wide and across two countries. This tour started its run at Minneapolis, MN back on January 26 with a Great Lakes Roadshow, and although newcomers won’t see that outside of the region, my hope is that it was recorded!

If its certified cult status is any indication, perhaps local theatre groups can pick up on the idea and continue in what that crew has started.

When All The World’s A Stage, and Dampyr Needs a Home to Play….

Before anyone dives headfirst to this new cinematic universe which begins with Dampyr, it’s perhaps best to seek out the comic books so more about this Italian world can be understood.

Dampyr Movie PosterAvailable to stream on Google Play and Netflix.

Few people know what a Dampir is, and they are technically a mortal with the extended life expectancy of a vampire! In Italy, Mauro Boselli and Maurizio Colombo created a Serbian version, and his name is Harlan Draka. This Dampyr needs to find his place in the world, though, and I’m hoping that what’s planned has enough legs to take off since past adaptations of pulp heroes have never done well in this European market.

Here, this hero played by Wade Briggs is trying to figure his life out as the Balkan war plays out. He is completely unaware of his heritage and even passes the belief in as a flight of fancy, what happens next shows they are dangerous! While part of the story involves supernatural factions vying for control amid mortal conflict, not everyone wants to choose a side. Although this reluctant hero gets involved while rediscovering his past, what goes on isn’t all that surprising. He will have to meet his maker.

An Interview with Indie Filmaker Jayson Johnson and Black History Month

Jayson Johnson’s love for artistic expression goes beyond what goes on the canvas, but also with what’s put on cinema in the short films he makes.

Jayson Johnson Publicity ShotJayson Johnson is a prolific filmmaker who grew up in a household where his creativity in the fine arts and storytelling was encouraged. Like every other kid back then, he watched a lot of television and read comic books. And to help him find a career in this world, he took all the prerequisite courses in college. However, to truly pursue his dreams, he had to move from Chicago where he worked as a bill collector to San Francisco in hopes he can get his foot in the door! Even though this decision was mostly influenced by his girlfriend at the time, there must have been a part of him wanting to connect to the artistic collective that lived in the City by the Bay.

That’s because she wasn’t fully supportive of his dreams. And what he did to prove to himself that he can do it (than show this lady off) is a story in itself! “My first job was at Francis Ford Coppola Winery, which ultimately gave me a chance to eventually work with him on some creative writing,” revealed Johnson.

Although he fibbed his way through the interview process, he was hired and started as a wind steward. But ultimately, this role wasn’t for him and human resources shuffled him around, and he did other work. He wouldn’t meet his boss until eight months later.

With Kill it With Fire 2, This Sequel isn’t as Creepy Crawly, But Still Fun Nonetheless!

When considering the homages to busting bugs in many a film or tv series (horror or sci-fi), playing the Kill It With Fire 2 Demo is very satisfying. But what else is hiding behind that huge web?

Kill It With Fire 2 PosterAnyone who has played Casey Donnellan Games‘ flagship first person shooter where you get to squash, roast or shoot down spiders will love Kill It With Fire 2. The core mechanics remain the same, but what’s more epic is that all those crazy weapons that one finds in sci-fi bug squashing adventures, namely Aliens, are featured here! I haven’t found them all yet, but I’m sure they exist!

Unlike the original, where it’s about busting these arachnoids in an urban home setting, and causing as much collateral damage as possible indoors and outdoors. My review of the VR version can be read here, and what’s been expanded upon is an epic cosmic battle with this critter! Although I rarely thought of spiders as truly alien, this game has changed my mind. They exist throughout the galaxy in one strange form or another, including mechanoids. As a result, I’m wondering if there’s a hybrid human and spider creature (known as the Drow in Dungeons and Dragons) lurking around? Maybe they exist, and only time will tell if it’s in the game or will be part of an expansion.
