Paws of Fury: Legend of Hank Trailer Analysis

In a town mostly dominated by cats, a down-on-his-luck hound, Hank (Michael Cera) wants to be a crusader of justice for them.

Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank - WikipediaThe trailer for Paws of Fury: Legend of Hank looks hilarious. This film is not about how Jimbo can’t teach an old dog new tricks. The canine here is young, and he wants to do good for a local town. It’s safe to say this particular cat will steal the show given how charismatic Samuel L. Jackson is. He introduces the trailer, and what we see is a tale is about how this underdog can stand up to bullies.

I can’t help but think Hong Kong Phooey is a major influence. The character design for the hero is very familiar. Also, I loved that show when I was a kid. Sadly, the Hanna-Barbera toon didn’t age well when I looked for online episodes to enjoy again. Thankfully, Paws of Fury updates the humour.

In a town mostly dominated by cats, a down-on-his-luck hound, Hank (Michael Cera) wants to be a crusader of justice for them. However, to be ready means getting training from Jimbo (Samuel L. Jackson) and hoping his nemesis, Ika Chu (Ricky Gervais) can take his challenge seriously.

Putting all the Featurettes Together in The Lost City

The following are the best The Lost City featurettes released to date. Available to watch online are most of the mini-featurettes released to date. Check it out!

Over the weekend, some fans were offered an early access screening of The Lost City in select cities (and SXSW). The response is terrific, and the hype is real.

As we near a month where studios expect audiences to return to theatres in certain parts of the world, the competition of which film will rule the month of April will be fierce! Many featurettes have been released over the past few months to build anticipation for this teamup starring Sandra Bullock, Channing Tatum, and Daniel Radcliffe. This powerhouse grouping has all the makings to challenge Netflix’s Red Notice (different story though).

Ticket Sales begin in Canada March 21st.

Out of all the movies coming in April, the sequel to Sonic the Hedgehog is perhaps the most exciting. Paramount Pictures is accelerating plans by offering to fans Early Access screenings in select cities, and if its playing at a theatre near you, run, don’t walk to it. There’s plenty to get excited for in the final trailer drop for this film, and we’ll see Jim Carrey in all his early glory as Doctor Robotnik, and a teamup with Knuckles, the rival to the blue speedster.

The Four Best Trailer Drops from Superbowl Sunday

Is it even possible to identify which of the nine trailers released during Superbowl Sunday are the best? To slightly borrow from J.R.R. Tolkien, there would be one to rule them all, and everything else would fall under the category of second, third and fourth best. Yes, it means I’ll be tuning into Amazon Prime’s attempt to unseat Game of Thrones with Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. The teaser is enough to get me excited. I presume WETA will aid in the special effects production since much of this series is filmed in New Zealand.

Because of the limited number of genre pieces released, I offer my top three films that truly whetted my appetite.

Fireheart Trailer and When to Expect It

The trailer shows an ambitious work about a young girl aspiring to be the world’s first female firefighter

FirehearteOne Films UK

L’Atelier Animation’s upcoming movie, Fireheart didn’t make my lists because it’s uncertain it will hit theatres or festivals this year. It’ll make its debut in France and other territories are most likely soon to follow come Summer. This news is exciting as the trailer shows an ambitious work about a young girl aspiring to be the world’s first female firefighter, much like how Disney’s Mulan wants to join a certain boy’s club of elite warriors.

The tale is set in New York during the roaring twenties, and this time was especially tough when women had little rights. Women’s Suffrage was getting started, and for Georgia, the teen heroine, she not only has to deal with her daddy’s opinion but also has to be in disguise if she’s being recruited.
