White Snake 3: Afloat Needs To Surface in North America! Every Explosive Trailer Released.

The movie, White Snake 3, has made its debut in China, and hopefully the plan to bring this latest Light Chaser Animation to North America will be soon!

Light Chaser Animation Studios continues to delight fans of the White Snake series with their latest entry, White Snake 3: Afloat (白蛇：浮生). While the literal translation of the title is “Floating Life,” “Afloat” or even “Rebirth” better captures the intended themes of renewal and emotional drift.

Whatever name you prefer, I can’t wait to see this next chapter! For those unfamiliar with the series, the first film is available online and on Amazon USA, while the second is streaming on Netflix. You can also check out my reviews of Part One and Part Two.

As for why these films feel disconnected, I suspect the North American distributor wasn’t aware this story was always intended as a trilogy.

This fantasy romance raises two big questions: Will the sisters reunite? And will Bianca (Xiao Bai, voiced by Zhe Zhang) see Xian (Tianxiang Yang) again? There’s a third thread too—according to the source material, the couple has a child! The ending of the first film teases this possibility, but in the sequel, Xian is sidelined when time travel complicates everything. During a climactic battle, Verta (Xiao Qing, played by Xiaoxi Tang) is hurled into a future that’s anything but welcoming.

In that timeline, the Baoqing Fox takes on a larger role in the chaos. While the trailers don’t reveal much about her involvement, what little we see is intriguing—and I’m eager to learn more.

Every country has a legend, and in Thailand, The Ramakien is one of several epic tales that paint a solid picture of good triumphing over evil. Here, King Rama and Tosakanth are opposites, and when the latter kidnaps the queen because he’s in love with her, this lord will fight back! What’s presented in Mantra Warrior: The Legend of the Eight Moons requires knowing the source material to truly appreciate it; otherwise, what’s presented like a Siamese version of Final Fantasy on steroids.

That’s because of the bold character designs and colour choices used to bring this mythic world to life. I want to compare this work to Gundam because of all the giant robots featured. Even though they look nothing like, the fact they carry oversized weapons with crazy nicknames is enough to make me think that director Veerapatra Jinanavin had this anime in mind!

When Jurassic World Chaos Theory Proves The Fact That People Should Not Remain Apart…

Jurassic World Chaos TheoryIn Jurassic World Chaos Theory, the kids have grown up, and they’re using some of those experiences to deal with the latest hurdle. And that’s to deal with rogue dinosaurs roaming North America! Although I’m still trying to figure out how this title fits even on my fourth binge-watch, some facts are certain: they’re matured and some are taking the fight to a whole new level.

What I love is that a few answers regarding how this team managed to cope in the past are provided in simply one-liners. Although six years have passed, it seems only one of them still suffers from PTSD. But to see that a few went to work with the Department of Prehistoric Wildlife (DPW) is a head scratcher. I would’ve thought they’d want a normal life. Darius (Paul-Mikél Williams) is a dinosaur whisperer, but he left after a wPaul-Mikél Williams, Kiersten Kelly, Sean Giambrone, Raini Rodriguez, Darren Barnet, Kausar Mohammedhile, for some undisclosed reason.

People Have to be Deliberately Slow When Treating, if Not Handling the Undead. As There’s No Advice In How to Do So

When some mysterious sound is loud enough to awaken the recently deceased, just how one deals with Handling the Undead is well explored here.

I’m not entirely sure if Judgment Day has come in Thea Hvistendahl‘s genuinely creepy film, Handling the Undead. Unlike other zombie films where they’re treated as the villain or just creatures of happenstance, here, they don’t attack the living. Instead, they simply linger. They exist in the last place they knew as peaceful.

John Ajvide Lindqvist‘s 2005 novel may offer some explanation. When considering he wrote Let the Right One In, and I really loved the cinematic adaptation of this work, I had high hopes going in. What’s presented isn’t too different in style, but as for that origin story, we’re left in the dark for why it started. The few people who are asking questions are perplexed and this story doesn’t really dive into it. Shame on me for not reading this book, but after watching this film, I’ll be picking up a copy to get answers to some lingering questions I have.

Going Behind the Scenes with The Creation of the Gods in Chinese Lore

The Creation of the Gods is going to be an epic trilogy when it all comes out, and in the meantime, fans of Chinese mythology can marvel at part one, titled Kingdom of Storms at home. The video is beautifully crisp and colour saturation in par with the film version I saw many moons ago, and to be able to pause and take breathers between chapters was heartily welcomed. Had there been a 4K release, I’m sure the flaws can be seen a mile away. Not all of the effects are immaculate and require a bit of suspension of belief (like setting the characters riding on a horse on fire during an early scene).

Also, to learn about the behind the scenes, there’s four featurettes made to reveal how this film was put together. From makeup to set designs to special effects and onset lighting, the gambit is well covered.

From the Tabletop to Comic Book. Arkham Horror: The Terror at the End of Time

Fans of the board game Arkham Horror can take delight in an adaptation that’s expanding the universe! Asmodee Entertainment and Dark Horse Comics have teamed up to present Arkham Horror: The Terror at the End of Time. It’s the first comic-based addition to Fantasy Flight Games product, and no previous knowledge is really required. If you’re a fan of H.P. Lovecraft, that’s all you need to recognise.

Two versions of the game exist. In the tabletop edition, players have to work together to stop multi-dimensional entities from arriving on Earth. There’s been three editions, and each are different in a bizarre way which mostly concerns the rules. The setting remains the same and as for the card game, that’s where the confusion begins! Some say it’s the same thing but in a trading card game format, but others argue there’s enough differences where it’s not. All they can agree on is that the end goal is the same. If all you want is the story, then the latter has a lot more expansion material. And to bring it all together, Eisner Award-nominated master of horror, Cullen Bunn (Harrow County, The Sixth Gun), will write the four-issue miniseries.
