NAQT VANE’s New Wave/Synth J-Pop is All About Dispersion & “Puzzle” Music Video Debut

To celebrate the album release, the band will hold a concert in Japan titled NAQT VANE Special Event -Dispersion – on May 11, 2024.

NAQT VANE DispersionJapanese ensemble unit NAQT VANE released their first full-length album, ‘Dispersion’, last week, and it’s slowly climbing up the charts. This title is a reference to the way that light is refracted through a gemstone, and its meaning is significant when considering the names of each track.

From the Press Release:

Here, the strength to which light is dispersed varies depending on the type of jewel, and diamonds have a perfectly balanced dispersion that makes them shine so vividly. NAQT VANE’s message on ‘Dispersion’ is that just as each gem shines in its own way, a group of people who embrace their differences can unite to create a dazzling brilliance.

Disney’s Gargoyles. Ready to Burst at the Seams Again!

At long last, casual fans of Disney’s Gargoyles can pick up reprints of the comic books released by other publishers prior to Dynamite Comics’ acquisition!

Fans of Disney’s Gargoyles can rejoice! The elusive comic books from yesteryears are getting a digital cleanup and will be reprinted! After Dynamite Comic‘s Kickstarter campaign to publish the 30th anniversary editions is over, it may head to stores next.

Whatever the background drama wase to finally make this happen, at least the wait will be worth it. I imagine that because this new publisher has been doing very well with reimaging a lot of Disney properites recently, to visit this particular 90s Disney Afternoon favourite was inevitable. Back in the last decade, fans have been patient and campaigning to get the animated series out on home video.

When Christmas Gremlins Play Havoc….

Christmas GremlinsThat was embarassing. Apparently some gremlins have snuck onto the system and had some fun with some really old posts of ours and reposted them during our break. We didn’t notice right away, and hopefully these critters have been kicked back to whence they came.

Whether that was a result of us experimenting with some new plugins for the site during the downtime or some other weirdness, the mess has been cleaned up, plugins deleted (if not disabled) and those articles been put back to past where they should belong–rather than be current.

Our apologies and hopefully the glitch in the matrix is fixed.

Release Date: March 12, 2024

Freddie Mercury isn’t the only person who claims to be “The Great Pretender.” In Japan, there’s an anime simply titled Great Pretender, to which his estate approved the use of his song, and as for how both relate, perhaps fans of this Netflix series can find out when it is released to home video in North America! The series isn’t presented in its entirety on Netflix as far as I can tell.

And for those screaming, “I Want It All” (like a certain Queen song, than just Freddie), it’s here courtesy of Shout! Studios.
