WARPS Up HERO_sei with This New Single and Music Video Debut

Japanese-Chinese boys’ collective WARPs UP‘s new single HERO_sei is now out. It’s a mid-tempo ballad about living life your own way and is performed by a group who refuse to be confined by their own boundaries. The bold use of colours–of red, white and blue–contrasted against varied backdrops shows how they’re breaking free. Each tone is meaning, as red represents anger, white with sadness and blue with freedom. The progression is very telling.

This second original single released by the group’s two Chinese members LANGYI and MINGJUN, follows January’s single POWER_Shin. Previous songs by WARPs UP feature lyrics in English, Chinese and Japanese. This approach to reach a global market is an impressive achievement and helps make this group stand out.

WARPs ROOTS, Ready to Train a New Generation of Singers

The new ‘WARPs DIG’ project being launched this time will focus on the members of WARPs ROOTS, a training ground for the next generation of WARPs talent aiming for global success.

WARPs Roots WARPs expanding! They may well be called WARP-Syndicate at this rate, but for fans of their music wondering how the lineup will change, everything will be revealed on YouTube. WARPs DIG is a new show available on YouTube so people can follow their journey from regular life to stage.

WARP-Syndicate (commonly known as WARPs) stands for Wind Assemble Radical People-Syndicate, meaning a collective that harnesses the wind of innovation. By operating groups with fixed lineups and various projects across multiple artistic disciplines and regardless of age, gender and nationality, it is a collective that aims to create a new landscape where talent can shine beyond existing categories and frameworks. The Japanese-Chinese mixed boys’ group WARPs UP has been active as the first act under the WARPs umbrella.

WARPs is an abbreviation of Wave Assemble Radical People-syndicate, based on the concept of creating waves of innovation. It is a project that produces a variety of unique artistic works and transcends national borders. WARPs UP are one of the groups within the WARPs project.

Japanese-Chinese boys’ collective WARPs UP has new single ‘Pleasure’ now available to download and stream. Also available is their new mini-album ‘Prep.20/21SS -Chapter RLSM-’ for fans to rock on to. Up until now, these releases had been limited to China. This releases marks the first opportunity for fans to hear these long-awaited songs on music services around the world.

The single ‘Pleasure’ is the opening theme song to the popular TV anime series Fruits Basket–whose latest season ‘The Final’ began broadcasting in April. This is the first ballad from them which carries an inspiring message: No matter our fate or circumstances, we all have the power to shape our own future. There’s no need to be afraid.
