Scrat Tales is Exactly What the Doctor, er Disney Ordered

Scrat Tales has six laugh-out-loud episodes which I’ll be regularly watching. from time to time because of the insanity that goes on between the adult and jr.

Ice Age: Scrat Tales (TV Mini Series 2022– ) - IMDbAvailable to view on Disney Plus

An Ice Age movie or television series without Scrat is just not right. Disney thought they could get away with not bringing this beloved mascot back, and I’m glad they’ve released Scrat Tales, now available on Disney Plus. This series has six laugh-out-loud episodes which I’ll be regularly watching.

This series was already in development before being acquired by the mouse and I love the classic Looney Tunes style shenanigans that make up this squirrel’s chase for the beloved nut. Scrat is now a dad, sort of. He’s found another of his kind, a younger version of himself, and they’re cute and evil towards one another. Sometimes they work together, and other times they are at each other’s throats like in Spy vs Spy.

About the Mysticism and the Myths You Need to Know Before Moon Knight

What’s done so far in Moon Knight is a delicate balance between what the mythology represents to moments of crazy superheroics.

Moon Knight Poster Released by Marvel and Disney+Disney+
Debuting: March 30, 2022

Oscar Issac is not only the supervillain Apocalypse but also the masked superhero Moon Knight in two (finally united) Marvel Comics Cinematic Universe properties. Both have very loose Ancient Egyptian connections, and this actor is terrific at making us believe he has multiple personalities. Technically, his character has a dissociative identity disorder, and just how many he has would be telling.

In the first episode. Steven Grant isn’t sure about what’s going on with his life. He’s prone to black outs and has to live in seclusion because he fears something is out to get him–or rather, dreads what happens when he’s asleep. He works at the British Museum as a gift shop clerk. His mates at work don’t pay him any heed, and more often than not, step all over him.

When to Expect More Night at the Museum

Night At The Museum: Battle Of The Smithsonian review | Den of GeekAnyone who loves the premise behind the 20th Century Fox’s Night at the Museum most likely knows about the upcoming animated sequel by the new franchise owners, Disney. Development may have stalled. The original news was revealed in 2020, during the pandemic, and reports back then suggested a 2021 release.

Hopefully plans have not been shelved. When considering other franchise properties recently released, namely Home Sweet Home Alone and Ice Age: Adventures of Buck Wild, hope is alive again, and it may show up later this year.

In the trilogy of live-action films, the Golden Tablet of Pharaoh Ahkmenrah is the raison d’être behind why many animals and statues came to life. Instead of dealing with a threat we’re all familiar with, the tentatively titled Kahmunrah Rises Again shifts the story to Nick Daley and how he’s going to continue in his father’s legacy of being a night custodian. Any other details are, pardoning the proverbial Ancient Egyptian pun, under wraps.

The Best Animated Announcements From Disney Plus Day

There were lots of announcements on what’s coming on Disney Plus, and we present our most favourite news from this event!

What Is Disney Plus Day: New Movies and Features Available NowOn Disney Plus Day, a lot of new works announced will come flooding into the streaming service next year. I’m more excited for the animated material than the others. Yes, Marvel Entertainment and Star Wars will get their expanded universe treatment, and all I can say is, “What, no more Clone Wars type material? There’s no tease for what the next season of The Bad Batch will entail?”

Out of the entirety of everything’s announced, it’s Chip n’ Dale Rescue Rangers which excites me the most. I’ve always loved their nostalgia laden pulp fiction adventures. It’s going to be a live-action / CGI hybrid work, and I’m okay with that. Ever since their cameo in the updated Ducktales, I’ve been hoping their return isn’t being delayed because of finding replacement voices or rights management.

Other works include:

When Home Sweet Home Alone is Managed Under Disney

This film isn’t ultimately bad, it just needs to be properly understood so those fans of the Home Alone franchise won’t scream it sucks because Disney now manages this property instead of 20th Century Entertainment that they now own.

Spoiler Alert

Some movie franchises should never be rebooted, or continued after a prolonged absence on the big screen. Home Alone and its sequel are still enjoyable to this day and doesn’t need any continuation. Macaulay Culkin has a charm, innocence and mischievousness to make those films hits and I’d be more excited had it continued with him as an adult dealing with his own kids, and accidentally leaving one behind.

Home Alone 3 brought in a new lead who didn’t exude those traits and because of that, never succeeded. The fourth film tried to get back to basics, and return to look at the life of the McCallisters. But due to the years gone by, the original actor is much older and another child actor, Mike Weinberg, was put into the role and studio producers hoped nobody would care. Everybody did and this film was universally panned.

Home Sweet Home Alone is the latest entry that introduces a new family, and does something different with the formula. Like the McCallisters, The Mercer family are preparing to enjoy the holidays abroad instead of staying home. Bits of dialogue and a lot of the humour get recycled. The family problems Max (Archie Yates of Jo Jo Rabbit fame) faces are similar. Though this young actor isn’t chummy enough to carry the film, his nemesis, Rob Delaney (Deadpool 2) surprisingly is. This veteran of comedy saves it. The story is more about him, as Jeff McKenzie, who is forced to sell the home. Luxury comes at a cost, and little does he realize that a family heirloom can save them.

Halloween Inspired Thrills for (Animated) Ghostseekers!

The best part of every Halloween season is in searching the catalogue of past hits to enjoy time and time again.

Jeremy Zag en Instagram: “Ghostforce #ghostforce #zagheroez #ghost #superpower #superhero” in 2021 | Miraculous ladybug anime, Ladybug anime, Miraculous ladybug comicPart of the every year’s Halloween fun is to partake in the paranormal. Whether that’s with participating in a ghost hunt or trick and treating, there’s also bonfires and sometimes just enjoying a program on television on those chilly nights. Nearly every spooky animated television series has a Halloween themed episode. This year has a few new entries from popular shows for this decade, but the the classics, I’ll fondly turn to Scooby-Doo. “To Switch a Witch,” is a favourite. The Scooby-Doo/Dynomutt Hour featured “The Headless Horseman of Halloween” and What’s New Scooby-Doo? featured “A Scooby-Doo Halloween.”

In part one, I offer my picks from series where the ghost is a key figure in the cast.
