As for how the Ghostbusters will deal with finding the sparks of those Cybertronians lost and restoring them in Ghosts of Cybertron, this tale has me wondering if Burnham has the mythos established from Beast Wars and Transformers Prime in mind to wrap the tale up.

When I heard two beloved 80s franchises—Transformers and Ghostbusters—are crossing over, I had to contain my excitement. I thought about the movie where Starscream died and the G1 episodes “Starscream’s Ghost and Ghost in the Machine. His spirit never moved on; it haunted the tomb where his remains lay and later possessed the Decepticon Octane. Although IDW’s crossover with The Ghosts of Cybertron doesn’t address this continuity, I had hoped we’d get some rhetoric where spirits can possess any Transformer and just why he never took advantage is because of his limited thinking.
It’s a shame across even in Beast Wars, where his spark returns, this Decepticon never gets his just reward. Just why Starscream’s spirit stayed in this world has never been addressed. Those Transformers who ‘died’ in the movie never returned, and yet, throughout the animated series, he’s never moved on.
AR or VR enthusiasts have the choice of playing two versions of Ghostbusters World. Adaptations of this franchise have manifested in many forms and the part many gamers get the most thrill from is in blasting a ghost and sending them to the aether. Well, to put ’em into a trap. From the Commodore 64 game to PlayStation 3, I have almost played them all. None can be as exhilarating as having that right first person shooter perspective.
With this new game by Sony, Ghost Corps, 4:33, and Next Age, the idea is almost there. For some reason, I think playing this game with a selfie stick holding the smartphone can add to the idea of welding a photon pack proper. Even without, the idea of chasing after spirits feel good! The best part of this game is to see the work of local artist, Dan Schoening (who illustrates IDW’s comic books) make up the part of this game. I’m fairly sure some of his art is used in the story mode.
Dan Schoening is a talented artist based out of Victoria, British Columbia who has progressed far since graduating from Camosun College‘s Visual Arts program. Not only is the main artist for IDW’s Ghostbusters, but also he does work for InLight Entertainment, a local indie video game developer. But his resume does not end there. He’s done illustrations for (to name a few) Random House, DC Comics and APE Entertainment.
He’s also very active in the social media front, posting new pictures on deviantART and Twitter. But this is a man who simply loves to draw and to see him pursue his dream and make convention appearances is one of simple pleasure. Business is good for him, and it is a place for him to meet and interact with his fans. He has appeared at many shows, including Emerald City Comicon in the past and will be attending Capital City Comic Con, taking place March 16-18th, 2018! As I predicted way before this event made any official news, any resident artists of this city will be present for this inaugural show.
