Sakamoto Days. Is It Safer To Stay At Home Rather Than Hide Behind A Facade?

Although this series is primarily an action-comedy, to learn about what this shopkeeper did before changing to this profession is important. Sakamoto Days follows this individual simply trying to please as many people as he can!

Taro is an assassin, and in the aptly titled Sakamoto Days, it seems he’s always in a daze when at work, at a local convenience store! Although officially retired, the world he left behind has a grudge. For newcomers and vets, both can earn some cred when they put this individual six feet under. Although that’s going to be the formula for the time being in this series, I’m sure he’s plotting something behind that facade.

In the first episode, Shin Asakura (Nobunaga Shimazaki) simply botches his attempt to take the former hitman (Tomokazu Sugita) down. And in what’s amazing is that this big guy will show him the error of his ways. Just how the young kid found senpai wasn’t hard. And if he can do it, many more will follow. After two episodes showing just how many assassins are going to show up, I have to see just how varied these others’ talent are going to be. In what makes this work accessible is that it’s not taking the idea to violent Kill Bill levels.

From Dec 2024 with Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable to Last Attack in 2025, is this IP Over?

To compare Spider-Man VR to Attack on Titan VR wouldn’t be fair. Both came out about the same time last month, but neither are fully complete.

Attack on Titan VR Unbreakable CardI suspect not every fan of Hajime Isayama‘s best-known series will rush to play Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable (AoTVR). Developer UNIVRSE provided an early access version early last year, and it was playable. However, bugs made some aspects difficult. Last month, version 1.0 was made public on various platforms, including the Meta 2, which I played on.

One good thing about this virtual reality game is that nobody needs prior knowledge about the anime/manga to enjoy. The introduction brings gamers up to speed. I wanted a first-person perspective of being eaten! There are some scary moments put into getting picked up by one! Unfortunately, this experience doesn’t get that visceral because that would require a personal computer system to render all the graphic detail.

Just How Much More Exciting Episodes of Ranma½ Will There Be? Questioning Netflix’s Commitment

Just like the West, some fond classics are getting a visual update, and Ranma½ looks great, but do we really need it?

Ranma½ Netflix PosterStreaming on Netflix

With the first season still going strong, I’m not finding the refreshed Ranma½ series significantly different from its predecessor. Sadly, the wait for stories from the manga which haven’t been adapted is going to be long. While the order of chapters is different between what I recall from the past version and the book, I’m okay with the alterations.

Here, Kodachi gets introduced much earlier; in the books, she doesn’t appear until chapter 17. In the first series, she didn’t get the spotlight until episode 11. And instead of following the six unit narrative arc from the books, the series condenses it into a well told two-part episode. With the latest, the deadly Golden Pair (ice skating duo), Mikado Sanzenin and Azusa Shiratori, appear to show that some members of the Tendo family have challengers.

The fight is back with Attack on Titan VR, and for users of the Metx/Oculus, they can face these giants head-on!

Attack on Titan VRUNIVRS, Inc.

To say virtual reality is dead depends on which industry giants you ask. As for Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable, now in version 1.0, developers feel ready to unleash a version of this video game to the masses. With a frame rate issues corrected, added platforms to play in and now here as early access. Developers have added a few new features, and hope fans of the anime will check out this game on the Meta Quest. This first-person action-adventure VR platformer now has the final three chapters in this epic saga to play through. There’s also the newly added two-player Co-op mode, so friends can now work together to take down vicious Titans and save humanity.

This property is based on the manga/anime written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama. In this apocalyptic world, Eran Yeager, vows to terminate giants who are threatening to destroy the last vintages of humanity. They love eating humans, and that’s never good. This series ran in the Japanese magazine, Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine (from September 2009 to April 2021), and has since been adapted to anime, live-action, video games and novels featuring other heroes joining in the fight. This latest only adds to the experience by providing a first person perspective that hasn’t been done before.

From the Press Release:

Join the Scout Regiment as an aspiring recruit and ready for battle. Quickly manoeuvre across building tops with Omni-Directional Mobility Gear, and change directions mid-air to avoid towering threats. Topple titans, complete timed objectives, unlock powerful new gear, and protect humanity from extinction.

In Kizumonogatari -Koyomi Vamp- What’s Next After “Alls Fair in Love and War?” It Doesn’t Look LIke Hate.

If you’re unable to catch Kizumonogatari -Koyomi Vamp- at Fantasia Film Festival 2024, please mark your calenders as it’ll get screenings Aug 28th across North America.

KIZUMONOGATARI movie posterAnyone who hasn’t seen Kizumonogatari, read the Monogatari book series or seen the Bakemonogatari anime, that’s okay! Neither of them really follow the order of the other, and tegarding the former, all three films have been compiled into one huge introduction of this franchise. After watching this neo-gothic wonder known as Kizumonogatari -Koyomi Vamp- (傷物語 こよみヴァンプ), I feel inclinced to get caught up!

Here, Koyomi Araragi (Hiroshi Kamiya) is in a heap of trouble. After meeting Tsubasa Hanekawa (Yui Horie), he loses his humanity! At first, I thought he would lose his virginity because the defining moments offers some classic fanservice along with pop culture references; but the first conversation they have is about the ghosts and vampires said to lurk nearby. I knew that sets up the fact he would become a druge! In layman terms, he’s a vampire’s servent. But when he tells his creator, Kiss-Shot Acerola-Orion Heart-Under-Blade (Maaya Sakamoto), he doesn’t want to remain a vampire, finding a way out will be difficult.
