Hungry For Justice League vs Godzilla vs Kong 2? Thoughts on This Upcoming Release.

It’s hard to say if season two of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters will air in 2025, but in comic book front, fans of Legendary’s Monsterverse can get their fix with the comic book Justice League vs Godzilla vs Kong 2.

Justice League vs Godzilla vs King Kong 2 CoverGetting ready for release next month is Justice League vs Godzilla vs Kong 2. Here, Task Force X’s attempt to create hybrid Titans to rule DC’s Earth Prime universe may well involve invading the Monsterverse! Although I voiced my thoughts on the last series (review link), I’m still curious how this second series will proceed.

Although Legendary Comics is a division whose partnership with other studios has changed over the years, just how this affects the bottom line is still odd. Some departments are autonomous but still have to pitch to executives managing IPs to get the funding to move projects forward.

Here, all that’s known about the upcoming series is that the heroes have to travel into the Monsterverse to convince some titans to hide from Amanda Waller’s plan to create another Suicide Squad. My suspicion is that, and because the summary lacked detail, I had to consider her motivation for creating her own Jurassic Park.

The Science of Ghosts. Just How Hard Is It To Make One Up?

One aspect in what makes The Science of Ghosts ideal to real this Halloween season is that some spectres can be manufactured, especially when the plot seems Scooby Doo (revenge driven).

Although The Science of Ghosts had delays in getting to print after it was first announced, thankfully this graphic novel release isn’t vaporware. When the topic concerns why they manifest and what their importance is to family legacies, just what’s told isn’t necessarily mind-shattering! As for encountering one for real versus manufactured, that’s a detail I rather enjoyed discovering while reading this book.

Here, the portrayal of ghosts suggests that some old black magic needs to be involved more so than trauma to cause them to remain on this earthly plane. As Halloween approaches, I finally cracked open this book written by Lilah Sturges and illustrated by El Garing. This graphic novel doesn’t really delve into the physics behind what makes up a ghost (it would’ve been interesting to offer ideas). Instead, what it offers is a great hard-boiled type mystery concerning this spirit appearing to specific individuals.

Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong. A Deadly Showdown to Keep The Monsterverse Warner.

It’s tough not to be reminded of when Godzilla faced The Avengers way back when while reading Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong.

Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong #5Spoiler Alert

Five issues into Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong, what’s presented in the multiverse crossover is epic in scope and it won’t be a game changer since it’s more of a story developed to keep interest in the Monsterverse alive. The wait for Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is only two months away, but after seeing Godzilla Minus One, I think I’ve been spoiled. The stakes aren’t quite the same in this comic book world.

With this series, I’m caring more about what the beast represents and unless I’m a long time fan of the Justice League comics, I’m not as invested into this particular world. Also, I imagine the “Death” of Superman (again) is hardly a shock. After his fall, it’s up to the Justice League to figure out why a Pacific Rim type rift has formed to invite the Monsterverse in.

The revelations that’s offered in this issue offers a valid reason for why this mighty beast is what he is. He’s out to restore balance to the world by eliminating threats that can endanger it. I had to chuckle because he’s essentially Lex Luthor in a giant green suit. Both charater’s animosity for Kal-el is natural.

When Three Little Wishes Isn’t Enough. An Interview with Paul Cornell and Steve Yeowell.

In Three Little Wishes, it’s about the king of all fairies being unable to stop the wishes from working, because they’re so precise.

Paul Cornell, Author of Three LIttle WishesLegendary Comics

Three Little Wishes is a hilarious graphic novel which subverts the traditional idea of about fulfilling one’s grandest desires. Sometimes, the person finding magic in the bottle doesn’t want that, and in what he or she wants may well be something nicer. I don’t want to say too much, but as for what caught my attention is that we don’t get a tale out of Arabian Knights, and the creators Paul Cornell and Steve Yeowell crafted a beautiful tale that I often don’t see in this subgenre.

It’s a very British work, and the nuances that come with it was enough for me!

Can you please introduce yourselves? That is, what was that break that got you into working in the comics industry?

Paul Cornell (Pictured left): Both times it was through Doctor Who–I got into writing British comics because I knew the editor of Doctor Who Magazine and I said I wanted to write. John Freeman gave me a strip and taught me the basics, And many years later, after he saw my work, Mark Miller emailed me asking if I would like to write for Marvel Comics. It’s a career route that any young creator can easily follow. I recommend it to anybody.

Pacific Rim’s Blackout Before Netflix’s Season Two Release

The recent release of the graphic novel Pacific Rim: Blackout is filling the gap by telling the story about the last days before Australia is evacuated.

Prior to the events of Netflix’s Pacific Rim: The Black, the recent release of the graphic novel Pacific Rim: Blackout is filling the gap by telling the story about the last days before Australia is evacuated. The Kaijus are everywhere, destroying everything on site and occupying vast swathes of desert land. We see humanity make its last stand in the cities still standing…

This 100 page work isn’t a brisk read. I had to go through it a few times and rewatch the animated series. Ultimately, it’s about the drama between Herc (one of the Jaeger pilots) and his sister, Liv–to which some parallels exist with the siblings from the animation: Taylor and Hayley. They lost their parents. Herc left the nest and never looked back. He didn’t attend his dad’s funeral, and that led to problems with the rest of the family. It’s a narrative to pay attention to instead of enjoying the spread of mecha upon alien fighting action. The presentation is reminiscent of many Toho films.
