On How to Expand HBO’s Lovecraft Country

In Lovecraft Country, the only hit and miss elements are with the strange tech going on and time travel.

HBO’s Lovecraft Country needs another season! For the Halloween weekend, I had a chance to rewatch the series and wonder if Atticus (Jonathan Majors), the series protagonist, and Christina Braithwhite (Abbey Lee), the antagonist will return. It’s highly possible to have them in flashbacks, but I’d rather not have them back as ghosts. I expect Letita to take charge. The Re-animator is not what this series needs. The only hit and miss elements are with the strange tech going on and time travel. Hippolyta’s hopping into different eras and doing good for her people is an inspiration, but it’s unlikely a spinoff series will ever happen.

I’d love to see the Mi-Go because the series is alluding to it. These fungus-like creatures with an insectoid-like body with bat wings. These aliens are highly specialized in matters of technology and biology. Longtime Lovecraft aficionados are familiar with their ability to dissect a human and keep them functional in steel vats. It’d be of no surprise that they gave Diana her arm, but we’ll never know the full story. All fans have to go on is the fact Seamus Lancaster cast a spell on her, and the curse affected her senses.

When Lovecraft Country Outdoes Its Competition…

Lovecraft Country Poster

HBO’s Lovecraft Country beats Netflix’s Stranger Things hands down! Even though the latter program has one more confirmed season, these young actors are growing up fast and are already pursuing other projects. The former shows us a grande design, covering more than just an area, and the latter keeps it all isolated within Hawkins, Indiana. Despite a report from Netflixlife.com saying the Duffer Brothers had time to think of where the series can go next, what they have planned won’t be the same.

Just look at Supernatural. Showrunner Eric Kripke originally planned for five seasons and was marked to have a definitive ending. The CW wanted more and put forth the money to force a rewrite of the ending so it could continue. Afterwards, this series creator was no longer helming the series and it went in ways that left some fans feeling divided. Until we see where The Duffer Brothers take the lads, my hope is that they leave town, attend college elsewhere and encounter new threats!

Henson Hit Series ‘Fraggle Rock’ to Make Television Return on HBO

fragglerockBy James Robert Shaw (The Wind up Geek)

The worlds of Humans, Doozers, Gorgs, and Fraggles will be returning to television in the here and now (and in a digitally remastered form). So dance your cares away and tune in for Fraggle Rock this winter, 2016 on HBO. Muppet creator Jim Henson described Fraggle Rock as “a small place just beyond everyday reality.” The show followed a race of characters known as the Fraggles who showed an enthusiasm for play, adventure and singing songs. The Fraggles’ world existed between that of the humans, a large race of creatures when compared in size to the Fraggles and the Gorgs, an even larger race of creatures. Only the Gorgs took any real notice of Fraggles.

HBO’s Game of Thrones season four will make its debut on April 6, 2014. With the look and the feel of this trailer, I wonder how they plan to top this season. But enough of the wondering, enjoy trailer three of Season four.
