From the renowned animation powerhouse Telecom Animation Film (Lupin III movies, Orange) and director Masaki Tachibana (Tokyo Magnitude 8.0, Princess Principal, Barakamon) comes a captivating new anime adventure, Blue Thermal.

Produced by Telecom Animation Film, this movie directed by Tachibana from a screenplay written by Tachibana and Natsuko Takahashi (Farewell, My Dear Cramer), is the long-awaited feature film adaptation of author and creator Kana Ozawa’s popular manga series which ran in Shinchosha’s Monthly Comic @Bunch Magazine for many years before being published in five book volumes.

This artful and beautiful coming-of-age movie captures the tension and excitement of a young college student who joins the school’s aviation club flying for the first time, as well as the beauty and exhilaration of the aerial scenery as seen from the pilot’s seat. The film’s theme song “Blue Thermal” and the song “Beautiful Bird” are performed by the popular Japanese piano rock band SHE’S.

Crowdfunding New Talents through Clover Press. Artists in Taiwan and Korea on Kickstarter!

The ‘Artists in’ series was produced to bring work by artists from different regions to a larger global audience.

Artists in TaiwanPixiv, Media Do International, Inc. and Clover Press are partnering together to bring two stunning artbooks, Artists in Taiwan and Artists in Korea, to Kickstarter. These deluxe books showcase over 150 amazing artists—representing just a small fraction of the talented artists actively engaged on pixiv. Artists in Taiwan features 83 incredible artists in Taiwan, with a cover by VOFAN, an illustrator with an impressive mastery of the use of intense light and shadow. Artists in Korea features 78 fantastic artists in Korea, with a cover by Tiv, an illustrator well known for poetic and transparent expression and capturing emotional moments, especially of women. Run, Don’t Hide from Shin Ultraman in Theatres Today. Home Video Release Dated

Shin Ultraman is here in North America with a very quick theatrical run and for those who can’t find him, the VOD/Home Video is quickly coming!

Cleopatra Entertainment has acquired U.S. territory rights to the latest incarnation film from the Japanese Superhero franchise Ultraman from Tsuburaya Productions. Entitled Shin Ultraman, this new Ultraman adventure was the sixth-highest grossing Japanese feature film of 2022 and will hit U.S. theaters via Fathom Events and Canada through Cineplex theatres (please check local listings) on January 11th and 12th, 2023.

Thankfully, those who missed the dubbed version day aren’t missing anything. The subtitled version playing in both nations shows off the film as the producers intended. And after this theatrical campaign concludes, hinting at maybe a few more runs at film festivals, Shin Ultraman will be released in the Spring of 2023 on VOD and also as a Deluxe Home Entertainment Blu-Ray and DVD release.

Written by Hideaki Anno (Shin Godzilla) and directed by Shinji Higuchi (Shin Godzilla, Attack on Titan), the film stars Takumi Saitoh (Shin Godzilla, 13 Assassins), Hidetoshi Nishijima (Drive My Car, The Wind Rises),  Masami Nagasawa (Before We Vanish, Mother), Daiki Arioka (Innocent Curse), and Akari Hayami (Gintama, Forget Me Not).

Examining Why Speedrunning is Fun with Running with Speed: The Fastest Gamers on Earth

This documentary chronicles the surprisingly rich and complex history of the fastest video game players in the world. It’s aptly named Running with Speed.

Running with Speed Documentary PosterToday, Wild Arrow Media, in conjunction with Good Deed Entertainment, officially released the feature documentary film Running with Speed: The Fastest Gamers on Earth, chronicling the surprisingly rich and complex history of the fastest video game players in the world (known as speedrunners) and the unprecedented millions these unsung heroes have raised for charity over the past decade. The film is available on major VOD platforms including Apple TV, iTunes, Amazon, Google, YouTube Movies, Vudu, and Microsoft.

From January 6 through 15, in conjunction with and in support of this year’s Games Done Quick, a portion of the proceeds from each download of Running with Speed will be donated to the Prevent Cancer Foundation.

“Speedrunning is as popular as it has ever been and runners continue to push boundaries — like beating Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out!!, while blindfolded! Are You ‘Up’ to the Challenge to Wait for Arcana of Paradise–The Tower?

The survival videogame, Arcana of Paradise–The Tower is delayed. Fans can expect it later this year.

Arcana of ParadiseArcana of Paradise–The Tower is a real-time roguelike deckbuilding survival videogame is getting its release date pushed to later this year. Those fans who saw the product demo at Japanese-language Indie World showcase will have to wait just a bit longer. The trailer shows a wonderful design aesthetic that will have many anxious for the final product, and for now, the news is that the Nintendo Switch version and its Steam (PC) counterpart now has a date of April 20, 2023 so the developers can iron out the kinks.

SHUEISHA GAMES, a new video game publishing arm of prestigious manga publisher SHUEISHA (One Piece, Naruto, My Hero Academia, Demon Slayer, Death Note), is working hard at getting the game properly running.
