The Ghost Station. Sometimes Hopping on Board the Last Ride Isn’t The Best Way to Get Home.

Sometimes, it’s best not to hop aboard any train when the stop is identified as The Ghost Station. Although South Koreans are superstitious, there’s not a lot of folklore attached to this take.

Not every major metropolis’s rail system is haunted, and if they were, I’d be thinking twice about where I’d want to board and disembark. In Seoul, South Korea, The Ghost Station directed by Jeong Yong-ki takes place at the Oktsu stop (a fictional location), and during the course of this narrative, fewer and fewer people are deciding not to use it lest they get scratched!

And when reporter, Na-yeong (Bo-ra Kim) and her friend U-won (Jae Hyun Kim), are tasked to look into what’s going on, not even they are safe from the forces lurking here. That’s because of what happened in the past, and what her boss knows doesn’t get disclosed.

So What is Steve Gonsalves’ A Life With Ghosts Really Like? Quick Answer: More Busy than Really Scary!

Technically, A Life With Ghosts is not meant to dive deep into why Steve Gonsales loves paranormal invstigation. What’s presented is a fond recollection of his time with TAPS.

The question I have about Steve Gonsalves memoir, A Life With Ghosts, is if he truly wrote it all? I suspect Michael Aloisi may have contributed with the background information. Afterwards, the tone switches over to this ghost hunter’s voice. Thankfully, this consultant gets credited too and his credentials are listed on the back book sleeve cover.

Technically, Ghost Hunters was not the first reality tv style show about paranormal investigators. That credit goes to Most Haunted. Before then, there were television specials and one off documentaries which helped let people know that there’s something of a general (if not academic) interest in this subject. Loyd Auerbach is the leader in the field, and I’m surprised Gonsalves didn’t mention either him or That’s Incredible! Both were the closest thing to witnessing investigators in the field back then (the late 70s) and he’d be at that right impressionable age when both were featured on network television.

When Ghost Hunting Cartoons Get Global in This Top 10 List on What to Binge!

The theme for this year is a list of ghost hunting style cartoons from around the world, and where to find them!

While it may be fun for some to go chasing after ghosts, others may well be preparing for that last harvest before winter sets in. In what I like watching are ghost hunting cartoons. It beats trying to find them for real, since there’s no proof positive method for an experience. As for what lurks in that cornfield, well….

What I offer is a list of animated series I often like to revisit as the nights get cold, and I don’t want to go out. The theme for this year is a list of ghostbusting style cartoons. Sometimes, peace with the supernatural can be made. At other times, they are chance to communicate. While the best thing is to work out those grievances, mileage will vary depending on the creator’s beliefs on whether to preach or simply entertain. By that definition, I begin with the series that inspired this top ten, which begins after talking about The Real Ghostbusters!

The Real Ghostbusters Creatures of the NightThis unofficial sequel about New York’s finest paranormal investigators is just good ol’ fashioned fun! And what makes this series shine is in how the stories show how they function as a team, deal with personal issues and resolve those conflicts.

Although there are a few episodes which bring back some recurring nasties, namely The Boogieman and Samhain, these spectres are so powerful, they often need help. Because the series wasn’t designed to be a serial, there’s no grande plan. When considering the official Ghostbusters YouTube page often adds to or prunes the list of episodes, perhaps there is a huge story arc to be found. Only the dedicated may find it!

Instead of the Same Ol’ Same Ol’, This Year’s Scary Victoria Halloween Event Guide Tries to Be Different

Only the most loved events are mentioned in this year’s Halloween Event Listing for the Garden City is considered.

Halloween Event Guide with a Skull Looming over the The Parliament Buildings The season for trick or treating is right around the corner, and instead of listing the usual staples that take place around Victoria, B.C., what’s offered in this year’s Halloween Event Guide are either new events and activities that sparked my interest. The lists I’ve published in prior years are generally still valid, and should be listed as related articles following this post. Because variety is important and not everyone is inclcined to revisit the same old thing every year, even I want something different to try!

Not listed are murder mysteries, themed board game nights and other similiar store hosted events where there’s limited seating. This list will be updated as more events get advertised. If you know of one that should get listed here, please do not hesitate to comment or contact us.

If “We Are Not Alone,” Then Why Are the Aliens Hiding and How Do We Make Contact?

Thankfully there’s ways to make contact with the fantastic, and Serena DC shows why We Are not Alone in her latest documentary presentation.

We Are Not Alone is Serena DC‘s next foray into the subject of the supernatural. Instead of going Beyond the Grave (review link), she’s looking above the stars to explore how anyone can make alien contact. Close encounters of the fifth kind (CE5) are extremely rare for the non-spiritualist, and that’s because he or she has never been attuned to that cosmic consciousness. After watching this latest, that’s the theory I have.

Surprisingly, Andrea Parren appears in this documentary. While some people don’t consider ghosts and UFOs as the same, what if they aren’t? Perhaps what makes them similar is that it concerns dealing with entities that don’t exist in our natural world. It doesn’t matter if that alien is projecting itself across the universe and what we see is actually energy as upon death; the body loses some mass–perhaps occupied by electricity, which makes up the 21.3 grams while alive. Although this idea isn’t presented, to get to the science would probably slow down the purpose of this film.

Serena DC’s Beyond the Grave is a fascinating documentary that dares to tackle the topic of what happens when the mortal body is ready to shut down and if the spirit persists afterwards. Although this is not really a subject to discuss in the middle of Ghost Month, I’m sure some Asians are wondering if their loved ones are doing okay.

This filmmaker is better known for Contact – The CE-5 Experience, and although that work is about encountering aliens from outer space, maybe that’s what we become when entering the aether, and have to deal with a new incorporeal reality. As for whether paranormal investigators and ghost hunters can find evidence for this continued existence, that’s still debatable.
