With Lilo and Stitch in 2025, What’s Significantly Bad Isn’t All That Extremely Good

Disney really should stop remaking fond classics, especially with Lilo and Stitch, and simply concentrate on coming up with original material.

Lilo and Stitch 2025 PosterSpoiler Alert

The live-action Lilo and Stitch movie will not please everyone, and when it’s significantly different from the original material, not everyone is going to enjoy it. When this young girl’s relationship (wonderfully played by Maia Kealoha) with Myrtle (Emery Hookano-Briel) is nonexistent, I groaned. Their conflict makes up a significant part of the series as this rival believes her family is better than most Polynesians. To be exact, this girl has a superiority complex. And as for the two aliens who would eventually become friends with the title characters, even I was wondering why change them up that much?

A lot of the humour comes from Jumba’s mad god complex and Pleakley’s belief he knows this world. Even in the alt-universe versions of the series, the new showrunners never changed their purpose; and I’ve looked at both Stitch! and Stitch and Ai (review links) to know why some characters stick around. Zach Galifianakis and Billy Magnussen are decent when performing their own stuff, but when trying to live up to the past material, they really do not measure up.

Without this double act done proper, what’s presented doesn’t make too much sense. I wanted to hear the big hippo hybrid speak with a Russian accent. As for the one eyed alien, what made him a fan favourite is because of all the cross-dressing ventures. Even in human form, to see Billy confused about gender roles and still wear a dress would’ve been a hoot, but it was not done! When Collecting Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong into One Huge Edition Has No Fanfare

Just what can go wrong in Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong presented are the plot holes and skips trying to bring the DC Universe into the foray of one radioactive beast’s sight!

Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong
Hardcover Edition available to order on Amazon USA

After a long wait, I can finally say reading Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong in its collected edtion is better than collecting the individual issues. As a seven issue comic book miniseries, waiting for the next chapter wasn’t my cup of tea. But with this collected release, the tale Brian Buccellato crafted makes more sense.

The idea to pit superheroes with kaijus and a mighty ape is really nothing new when I know about the Showa era films; Gojira fought them all, which includes King Caesar, a different furry beast, and Jet Jaguar, who was a superhero of sorts. However, the stakes aren’t quite the same in this comic book Elseworld where Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Hawkgirl and et al. meet the King of the Monsters and realise they can’t take him out.

To Say Ghostbusters Back In Town Answers One Question Before Frozen Empire Helps Answer One Lingering Question

Hopefully this miniseries isn’t the only release to continue what is the Ghostbusters cinematic universe.

Ghostbusters Back in Town #1 Comic Book CoverPotential Spoiler Alert

A lot of comic books have been published featuring either The Real Ghostbusters, some version thereof, or exist in its own world. Just how long Dark Horse Comics intends to publish in regards to the Spengler family depend on the contract. At least to say they’re “Back in Town” bridges the gap between Afterlife and Frozen Empire is a step in the right direction. Author Greg Pak wastes no time to get the clan exploring some personal issues.

According to ScreenRant, Jason Reitman and Gil Kenan are overseeing the project. I assume that means they will approve any pitches regarding what kind of adventures this group may have. It can be like Stranger Things or become truly spooky, something past takes never fully done before. IDW’s run has always had a bit of kookiness involved and the crossovers are not canon.

Krut The Mythic Wings and The Himmaphan Warriors. On What’s Wrong and Where to Find it

The 3D illusion in Krut The Mythic Wings is a pleasant touch. The only shame is that you can not run and fight in all four directions like some modern fighters.

Krut The Mythic WingsPlayers must master dodging and be skilled at slaying enemies in Krut The Mythic Wings without getting hit if they are to survive this multi platform video game. It’s available on many systems. If that isn’t hard enough, collecting the soul orbs is even worse. Thus, only the worthy need to apply. Here, you play an eagle-headed warrior of the Garuda race and have to overcome all the obstacles in six levels to master the elements. Having that skill is required before being allowed to get mystical armour before taking on the rock ogres again.

If you have seen the Indonesian movie, Krut: The Himmaphan Warriors, which this game is inspired by, then it’s almost worth comparing. The trailer (see below) shows off a PS3 level graphics akin the very first God of War PS3 videogame. The version we get to play is crisper and much more colourful. And by the mid-way point, we see how this version of Krut gains his Mythic Wings. To note, despite what Google says, it is not available on either Disney Plus or Netflix (Canada). I had no luck finding it from online sources. The cost to import the DVD from YesAsia is crazy when you don’t take advantage of the free international shipping offer (i.e. order a lot), or you can search eBay for it.
