The hit CBBC series Wizard’s Vs. Aliens has been nominated for three Bafta Cymru Awards which is a UK award that recognizes achievement by performers and production staff in Welsh-made films and television programs. WvA has been nominated in Production Design (Arwel Wyn Jones), Costume Design (Ray Homan) and Children’s Programme.
The show was a replacement for The Sarah Jane Adventures after the death of its lead, Elisabeth Sladen, ended the series. Created by Russell T. Davies, who breathed new life into Doctor Who, and lead SJA writer Phil Ford, the series was well received by audiences. A second series is expected to appear in late 2013 with 14 new episodes. WvA sees 16-year-old wizard Tom Clarke (Scott Haran) and his scientist best friend Benjamin “Benny” Sherwood (Percelle Ascott) pair up as they battle the Nekross, an alien race who have invaded earth to devour anything and anyone that contains magic.

Some movie goers may well wonder what The Wolverine would have looked like if it received a rating of R than a PG-13 by the MPAA. More bloodshed, seeing Wolvy go berserk, perhaps a bit of gore or how about a splash of nudity? A mix of any of them from the list would have given this flick some added kick about Marvel Comic’s most brutal mutant.
