Guardians Leaked Trailer

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy movie trailer could get taken down soon. Take a look at it while it’s still available. From what I have seen there is also a X-Men: Days of Future Past leaked trailer but it appears within half a day it has been removed. The Guardians of the Galaxy trailer is poor quality but you would expect it since it’s source is coming from a geek cam in the crowd.

Characters such as Rocket Racoon, Groot, Rhomann Dey (John C. Reilly), Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista), Gamora (Zoe Saldana) and Star Lord (Chris Pratt) can be seen.

And the song that you hear for the trailer is Hooked on a Feeling by Blue Swede.

How to Fly Away with Disney’s Planes

The real big question is how well will the trilogy of films take off. Another movie is planned for 2014, titled: Planes: Fire & Rescue.

Planes_FilmPoster.jpegDisneyToon has made Planes to showcase all the various forms of vehicular transportation from a world created by PIXAR’s Cars. This animation company has produced enough products that are enjoyable for a younger audience, but for the consummate planes enthusiast, it makes a sizable dent with plenty of points to note or pick apart if this movie can be put on pause. But there is no denying that going to an air show is better than sitting in a theatre.

The highlight of this film is with seeing all the planes, trains and automobiles that populate this world. Audiences are introduced to Dusty Crophopper (Dane Cook), a crop duster with some really high aspirations. He wants to compete in a high stakes race around the world. But he has one wee little problem: he has a fear of heights. Dusty is hoping a veteran plane from the World War II days, Skipper Riley (Stacy Keach), will mentor him. However, this old rust bucket is not immediately convinced.

After observing the little-plane-that-could has a lot of heart, this older war plane concedes and offers some advice so Dusty can be a top gun. In the road ahead, both of them will have to overcome obstacles, stigmas and embarrassment in order to succeed—and that’s where this movie is good. It delivers a positive message.

Putting the Smackdown on Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H.

But when the series does not have enough spark to it, Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. may well be more of a passer upper than a must follow.

PosterThe producers at Marvel Animation must think the same visual and narrative style used in Ultimate Spider-Man can be repeated with the new series, Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H.

Instead of Peter Parker providing the creative commentary by breaking the fourth wall, Rick Jones (voiced by Seth Green) is providing the narrative by creating a video blog of everything that happens to the Hulk (Fred Tatasciore). He is out to prove to the world that the Hulk is not a beast.

D23 News: Big Hero 6 Director Announced

More news from D23 at the Anaheim Convention Center this weekend. This time it’s an update to Marvel’s upcoming animated film Big Hero 6. It was announced that Don Hall was hired to direct the film. Don Hall’s previous credits as writer and/or director involves such well-known film titles as Winnie the Pooh (2011), Meet the Robinsons (2007) and The Emporer’s New Groove (2000).

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Big Hero 6, I offer a quick film synopsis as provided by Walt Disney Pictures:

Brilliant robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada finds himself in the grips of a criminal plot that threatens to destroy the fast-paced, high-tech city of San Fransokyo. With the help of his closest companion, a robot named Baymax, Hiro joins forces with a reluctant team of first-time crime fighters on a mission to save their city.

Big Hero 6 is scheduled for release in theatres on November 7, 2014.

D23 News: Tom Hiddleston the Disney Lounge Singer

This one is mostly for you ladies out there. I know what you think of Tom Hiddleston, the actor who’ll be portraying Loki in the upcoming Thor: The Dark World and the Avengers sequel. You love his looks and you love his acting (okay, I’m with you on this one) but will you love his singing?

At Disney’s D23 held at the Anaheim Convention Center, Tom was just one of the celebrities to make an appearance in front of thousands of fans. Perhaps he made the female geeks swoon with his good looks but were they swooning to his singing. If not they were at least swinging along as Tom snapped his fingers while giving his rendition of the tune “Bear Necessities” from Disney’s The Jungle Book. Jack Benny Show alumni Phil Harris originally breathed life into the 1967 song as the voice of ‘Baloo’ the Bear.

Now tell me ladies, which version do you prefer?
