If you can understand japanese then you are one jump ahead of this writer. Trying to keep up with what’s being said or written is still one of my struggles. But lacking subtitles I can still piece together that this is the toy review for the Voltasaur Tobaspino from Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger. My first taste of sentai was Kagaku Sentai Dynaman in the 1980’s but I’ve been a steady fan of such series since Gosei Sentai Dairanger (1993-94).

Pike’s Work to Manifest Itself on TV
The trailer for Hub Network’s newest live action series Spooksville is available to view online. Based on the series of acclaimed children’s novels by Christopher Pike, the series was shot entirely on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. Locations like the Duncan Curling Club, Craigdarroch Castle, Fisgard Lighthouse and Duncan city hall were all used as the backdrop for Springville, nicknamed by the locals as Spooksville. From Victoria to the Cowichan Valley, filming elsewhere could not have created the unique atmosphere needed for this comedy-adventure series.

Feb 2023 update: Although this film has not been officially cancelled, there is a petition on Change.org to get this work back on track and we hope that it can be finished. The concept is solid, and we certainly want to see it! Maybe they’re waiting for after the next Ghostbusters film to guage interest?

One of Dreamworks Animation’s next projects is B.O.O. (Bureau of Otherworldly Operations) which is scheduled for June 5, 2015 release.
For fans of this studio’s works, this one is sounding all too familiar. Maybe this movie is taking ideas from the aborted scripts originally intended for Ghostbusters 3, or it may be inspired from recent films from past months, like R.I.P.D. Other influences may be in store, but very little information has been released about a film that is set for release two years down the road.
The concept of ghosts fighting ghosts is nothing new. More films from out of Asia (especially in Hong Kong cinema) have suggested that the hero has to become a member of the undead in order to fight forces beyond his control.
The Penguins of Madagascar gets John Malkovich as the “Charming Villian”
The latest news about DreamWorks Penguins of Madagascar includes the following casting news:
The Penguins of Madagascar will be back in 2015, and they will have Benedict Cumberbatch and John Malkovich to contend with. Both actors are in high demand these days and the excitement is even better after sources say who they will play. Cumberbatch will voice a high-ranking animal CIA agent that’s after Malkovich, who will be a “charming villian.”
As for how the Penguins will play into this plot must mean they will leave their merry zoo life and might be globe-trotting in a high paced spy action thriller.
Expected to be back will be Tom McGrath as the voice of Skipper, Chris Miller as Kowalski, John DiMaggio as Rico and Christopher Knights as Private.
To helm the movie will be director Simon J. Smith (“Bee Movie”) interpreting the script by Michael Colton and John Aboud. Lara Breay (“Megamind”) is producing, while executive producers include Mireille Soria, Tom McGrath and Eric Darnell, all of whom are responsible for the original “Madagascar” trilogy.

The songs featured in A Monster in Paris are timeless, evoking images of Édith Piaf gracing a nightclub stage, and its tough not to fall in love with a flea dressed up like he belongs to the Caribbean.
Disney’s writers could learn a thing or two from A Monster In Paris
This film engages audiences with an imaginative reworking of the Phantom of the Opera formula with the visual stylings of the Hunchback of Nortre Dame.
That said, yes this computer animated product has some Disney-esque elements to it—namely with Charles the monkey providing some comedic relief—but at least this simian proves to be smarter than the average man. He’s the maestro to which Florquer has sprung from. While spinning many a tune from his musical box, the flea which has been living on him grew to become the exceptional singer. The irony is that he has also been hit with an experimental fertilizer, a growth formula, which causes him to be the monster that all Parisians fear.
