These are not the lightsabers I’m looking for. After the excitement of seeing the final film of the cinematic Star Wars saga, the excitement and fervor of wanting to hop the next plane to Anaheim to enjoy Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland is half and half.

According to CNBC:

…more guests will flock to the two lands after the opening of the Rise of the Resistance ride. The ride will open in Orlando on Dec 5 And in Anaheim on Jan 17.

This new combination coaster and live action show will be crazy. Those who want to be on this ride already bought their tickets for the queue, and I can’t simply travel down on a whim and expect to get in on that day. I know this performance theatre experience puts Universal Studios’ T2 3-D: Battle Across Time from years ago to shame. It’s sad that park attraction shut down.

Can You Keep it Under Your Hat; Disney’s Mad Hatter Billboard Really was Depp!

AliceThroughTheLookingGlassPosterVisitors to the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California were given a rare treat when a stationary billboard at the entrance to the park started talking to them. The billboard advertising Disney’s Alice Through the Looking Glass left park visitors in awe when the film’s character Mad Hatter reacted to the crowd. The trick was all down to 52-year-old actor Johnny Depp live streamed using current video technology and a little Disney magic. Depp will reprise his role as the Mad Hatter (due in theatres May 27th) from 2010’s Alice In Wonderland.

Alice Through the Looking Glass stars Mia Wasikowska, Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, and Sacha Baron Cohen. The film is directed by James Bobin with the screenplay by Linda Woolverton and based on the books of Lewis Carroll. Alice Through the Looking Glass will be in theatres May 27, 2016.

D23 News: Tom Hiddleston the Disney Lounge Singer

This one is mostly for you ladies out there. I know what you think of Tom Hiddleston, the actor who’ll be portraying Loki in the upcoming Thor: The Dark World and the Avengers sequel. You love his looks and you love his acting (okay, I’m with you on this one) but will you love his singing?

At Disney’s D23 held at the Anaheim Convention Center, Tom was just one of the celebrities to make an appearance in front of thousands of fans. Perhaps he made the female geeks swoon with his good looks but were they swooning to his singing. If not they were at least swinging along as Tom snapped his fingers while giving his rendition of the tune “Bear Necessities” from Disney’s The Jungle Book. Jack Benny Show alumni Phil Harris originally breathed life into the 1967 song as the voice of ‘Baloo’ the Bear.

Now tell me ladies, which version do you prefer?
