An Overview on Star Trek Prodigy Season Two and Where To Find It

Star Trek Prodigy Season 2Unfortunately, the only way to watch Star Trek Prodigy Season 2 in certain countries is through a VPN. Even three months later, I’m still not finding it on regular broadcast channels, and I’m stuck waiting for the eventual home video release, which is November 12 (according to Inverse.com). Because of agreements with certain broadcasters in Canada and other territories, Netflix cannot provide. The following list of recognized outlets will eventually broadcast this highly anticipated run, but even then, they may not be released in one fell swoop.

  • Canada: CTV.ca and the CTV App.
  • France: France Télévisions Channel and Okoo.
  • Iceland: Sjonvarp Simans Premium.
  • The Nordics, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Central and Eastern Europe: SkyShowtime.

I’m thankful for my VPN service to help me see this series on Netflix. What’s presented is the best animated Star Trek to date! It picks up a few days after the events of the last season, where Dal (Brett Gray) and his ragtag crew are now studying at Starfleet Academy. But pretty soon, Admiral Janeway (Kate Mulgrew) gives them a chance to train on board a new Voyager class starship! Although she has another agenda, none of the cadets are the wiser save for Dal. The Doctor (Robert Picardo) lets slip another shuttle bay and his decision to investigate leads him to discover what this training cruise is about! Pretty soon, he gets his former crew to join!

When These Cursed Waters Aren’t As Scary. Why Do We Love The Creature of Lake Okanagan?

Cursed Waters- Creature of Lake OkanaganNow available to view on Prime Video (USA) and purchase on the official website.

Small Town Monsters is taking a break by doing something different. Instead of searching for Bigfoot in Cursed Waters: Creature of Lake Okanagan, they are investigating the legends and recent sightings of Ogopogo! This creature that’s the mascot of Kelowna, British Columbia has been sighted several times in recent years, and it seems that’s holding steady.

Ever since it was “discovered” as early as 1872 (by settlers), and perhaps longer by indigenous tribes, what makes this documentary compelling is with what locals believe it represents. This work is better because what’s presented here differs from what Josh Gates offered when he visited back in 2009 (with the episode airing in 2010), and also the TV series Monster Quest.

Don’t Be Lost in the Shuffle! Theatrical Screening Information and VOD Date Announcement.

Good news magic fans! No, we’re not talking about the card game. Instead Lost in the Shuffle is about the deck stage magician use to wow audiences, and we got dates for when it’s back on the big and small screen.

Lost in the ShuffleInstead of “go fishing” around for where to watch the documentary Lost in the Shuffle after its Hot Docs premiere, there’s good news! This work is getting a few special nation-wide screenings this month (please see below for dates) with director Jon Ornoy and two-time world champion magician Shawn Farquhar in attendance! And on September 10th, it’ll be online to view on VOD.

This documentary wonderfully looks at how the 52 card deck of playing cards came about; from having its story literally impressed upon every card made since its invention, there’s a lot more mystique that gets revealed. You can read my review here, and if you get a chance, I highly recommend supporting your local independent cinema house! And I suspect this maestro of the legerdemain will offer up something new to entertain those in attendance.

When That Itsy Bitsy Spider Can Sting Too, Victims Better Seek Help Fast!

Just whether spiders “Sting” or bite depends on the species, but when they’re from outer space, perhaps there’s other aspects to be scared off in this mild tribute to those mutant spider movies from yesteryears!

Sting Blu-ray Cover Well GO USA
Available on VOD and to purchase on Amazon USA

Kiah Roache-Turner‘s Sting is one of those movies that combines the best of what Alien represents with the scares from Evil Dead: Rise. That’s because of all the unsettling prospect of coming across a desiccated corpse after a giant spider feasts on a bug. In this film’s case, they are animals and humans! But this isn’t your ordinary arachnid. It’s from space and its bite is lethal, hence this film’s name!

Just how this creature arrived is simple: the meteorite it was inhabiting punctured the rooftop of a building, and where it landed is almost akin to The Day of the Triffids. Although this tiny wonder found a child who says it’s cute, everyone is going to say otherwise, and that’s when the fun begins. Charlotte (Alyla Browne) is none the wiser about its desire to feast, but by the end, she’s able to save the day! When parents are not all that helpful, she’s pretty much on her own.

And to look at who in this tenament will not develop arachnophobia got me eager to see this film through to the end. As for grandma, I have a spoiler after this break…

Recognising The Film Master’s The Crippled Masters During Disability Pride Month

Hint: Lawrence Carter-Long’s essay on The Crippled Masters is required reading to truly appreciate why this film exists. The booklet provides a proper backdrop on how this project came about.

The Crippled Masters by Film Masters
Now availiable for purchase on Amazon USA

The Film Masters have moved on from examining vintage horror pieces to martial arts! In The Crippled Masters, what’s presented is a film many fans of this genre may well overlook; This movie features two genuinely handicapped martial artists: Shun Chung-Chuen (Two Crippled Heroes) and Thomas Hong Chiu-Ming (Fighting Life) who prove that two people working together as one can kick a lot of asses!

In the story, Lin Chang Cao (Mu Chuan Chen) is a cruel crime lord who ordered the dismemberment of Tang and Lee Ho’s limbs. The former lost his legs and the other their arms. It’s a good way to explain why these two became the way they are, and although Ho is not willing to let this loss let him down, he’s determined to live on. Tang, on the other hand, feels ready to face an untimely death. At first, they are hostile to each other at the shelter they find, but when they realise it’s a home to another cripple, the three better be friends! By sheer luck, The Old Man (Jackie Conn) they meet is a master of a distinct style of martial art, and he’s willing to teach these youths how to harmonise.

Defrosting The Difference In Ghostbusters Frozen Empire 4k and Blu-ray Release

it’s safe to say when these new films wraps up its trilogy or tetralogy, Ghostbusters Frozen Empire may well be the starting point for spinoffs.

Ghostbusters Frozen Empire Sets
Now available to purchase on Amazon USA and other outlets.

Ghostbusters mania is back again, and with the home video release of Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, Sony Entertainment isn’t offering a brand-new collector’s collection this time ’round. I’m not sure if I want to get another Ultimate Collection, but the limited edition set was tempting. But an ice cube maker isn’t enough.

It’s tough to top the box set created to resemble a ghost trap; to offer space for this disc would have been great. All anyone has to do is to take out the booklet, but is that breaking things up?
