NeverAwake is a twin-stick shoot’em up that’s ready to banish nightmares! This game breaks away from the conventions of horizontal and vertical shooters, and truly makes use of the 3D space to make fighting a lot more fun. And here, you fight against creatures that only the fertile Japanese Shinto world can dream up!
Set in the mind of a young girl’s horrifying dreams, what’s experienced may well hit close to home with the themes and motifs being offered. That’s because some therapists theorize the brain is trying to make sense of those waking world’s life experiences. In this game, you are helping Rem fight her problems! This game originally released in September 2022, and it now has a huge, mesmerizing update!

Following an award-winning PC launch which earned a spot in the top 40 best-reviewed PC games of 2022, NeverAwake receives the 1.1 update adding numerous improvements and additional modes. Fresh nightmare fuel has been injected into the mix, including the secret HIMITSU CHALLENGE appearing to all players who have cleared world eight.
Also, six new otherworldly accessories have also been added to the arsenal, and high score ranking has been added. Gamers can gently float into an updated (but still frightening) dreamland with general optimizations, bug fixes, and performance improvements along with gameplay balance adjustments for ease of play.
Version 1.1 also arrives with Steam Deck Verification. The Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 releases will also include the 1.1 update.
NeverAwake will retail for $24.99 with support for English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese language text. Pre-order the game on the eShop pre-launch for a 15% discount. NeverAwake is now available on PC via Steam for $19.99; a bundle with the PC version, artbook, and soundtrack is available for a 22% discount.
