Glay’s lead guitarist Takuro has released a short version of his music video “Guess Who”, a track off his first upcoming solo album Journey without a Map (to be released December 14, 2016). The album contains 11 tracks that is jazz and blues based and is produced by Takahiro Matsumoto, Grammy Award winning artist and member of rock duo B’z. Matsumoto won the Grammy with Larry Carlton in 2011 for best Pop Instrumental Album Take Your Pick. Fans can purchase the CD at a cost of ¥2,500 plus tax or buy the CD/DVD package which will contain the full version of “Guess Who”, a making of, and two documentary films for ¥4,000. Takuro will be supporting his first solo album with a 15 performance tour of Japan starting in February, 2017.
Just announced on Sankon Jr.’s official website, the Goto Hideto Band (後藤秀人BAND) consisting of Goto Hideto, Sankon Jr., Hiro Hiriya, and Ito Kenta will be performing at Moon Romantic in Aoyama, Minato, Tokyo, Tokyo Prefecture on February 10, 2017. Other acts include Usui Mitton with Usui Naoti, and Hataru Yuichi & Yu River. Advance tickets are ¥ 3,000 or ¥ 3,500 (taxes included plus a ¥ 500 drink fee) at the door. Doors open at 18:30 (8pm) with show beginning at 19:00 (7 pm).

Lazy announced a new album and a new tour. Since reuniting in 2015 after their break-up in 2012, Lazy minus original guitarist Izumi (who was officially replaced by FLiP band member Yuko on October 28th), will celebrate their latest album Gather of Dreams vol.4 with a four date tour before a release party Friday, May 12, 2017 at Shinjuku Loft in Tokyo. Tokyo Ska Paradise wrote music for a television commercial advertising Casio’s Oceanus OCW-G1200 series solar/GPS watch. The commercial made it’s debut on TBS stations Sunday, November 27th between the times of 15:30 (3:30pm) and 16:34 (4:34pm). Tokyo Ska member Atsushi Yanaka appears in the Casio ad.
