Is it Foolish to Say Ninjago’s “The Shape of Nya“ “A Mayor Problem“?

The concern about the mysterious Vengestone buyer and why he’s smuggling a lot of this rock around becomes the focus in Ninjago’s latest pair of episodes.

The concern about the mysterious Vengestone buyer and why he’s smuggling a lot of this rock around becomes the focus in Ninjago’s latest pair of episodes. However, the team can’t decide on what to do next unless Nya is present to help soothe tensions within the team. They bicker over everything until she finally appears and reveals how they can help restore her. The only problem is that they’ll need the help of an enemy.

To save this heroine will be tough. It may come at a cost much later into the series. As for exactly what that’ll be will depend of this season is taking ideas from the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice. I don’t believe this subplot will be of grave concern. So far, the story concerns finding out who is smuggling this rock and what his plans are for it.

Ninjago Crystalized or Not, They Aren’t Dead

Ninjago Crystalized shows the team still grieving one year later, and what they better do is get their act back together!

Ninjago Cystalised

After Nya made the ultimate sacrifice to save the city from Wojira, much has changed. The latest series, subtitled Ninjago Crystalized, shows the team still grieving. A year has passed since that day, and what I’ve last expressed in The Calm Before the Storm with Ninjago: Seabound sums up my hopes and dreams for this newest season.

The episode, “Farewell the Sea” begins with a new team of ninjas dealing with crime around the city. Miss Demeanour is back, and she’s making another delivery of Vengestone. This differently coloured group doesn’t know what’s happening and are merely putting a stop to a petty crime. On the other hand, Lloyd, Cole, Kai, Jay, PIXAL and Zane aren’t doing much to investigate these days. Their desire to figure out who is receiving these goods is on hold. Plus, The Green Ninja doesn’t believe he’s the leader he once was.

LEGO Ninjago Crystalized. Concerning Its Forbidden and Fragile Start.

LEGO’s animated series Ninjago is getting Crystalized. Despite finding this upcoming season had a strange release to online first, the wait to see how the story will continue is still worthwhile.

LEGO’s animated series Ninjago is getting Crystalized. Despite finding this upcoming season had a strange release to online first, the wait to see how the story will continue is still worthwhile.

That is, those lucky enough to see the series on The LEGO Company’s YouTube page got more than a preview before being removed days later. Soon afterwards, it appeared on Netflix before also getting pulled. The reason may be due to arrangements with television networks. Its unusual start was certainly confusing, but thankfully, this season should be on track for debut on networks this coming week. In Canada, the first pair of episodes (out of twelve) are coming to TeleToon this weekend. As for other territories, please check your listings.

LEGO’s Garmadon is Breaking Bad With His Own Solo Adventure!

Ninjago’s greatest villain, Garmadon, now has a comic book! This joint collaboration between Image Comics, Skybound and The Lego Company has everything to satisfy fans of the cartoon.

LEGO® NINJAGO®: GARMADON #1 CoverNinjago’s greatest villain, Garmadon, now has a comic book! This self-titled work is a joint collaboration between Image Comics, Skybound and The Lego Company and the first two issues have everything to satisfy fans of the cartoon. There are linguring questions that needs answering.

The only thing really missing is a mini-fig to go with the release, and I suspect that’s being saved for the eventual trade paperback. This series answers nearly everything you want to know about this villain but are afraid to ask. Thankfully, readers don’t have to recall everything from the animated series to know where this series is headed.

Garmadon walked away from it all in season 10, March of the Oni and I’ve talked about the season in my look of that chapter. He once wanted to conquer all of Ninjago, and after defeating the greatest threat of them all, the Oni, I suspect the desire to control an entire world just isn’t good enough. He learned to be part of a greater whole. Ever since then, he’s uncertain about where his future lays. He’ll have to reevaluate his goals.

LEGO Ninjago and Where to Find The Latest

In the meantime, I’ve been doing a lot of rewatching to see if I can find further clues about where the next season may go.

The_Island_poster_FIXEDEntire Series Available on Netflix

Anyone wondering where to find the latest LEGO Ninjago episodes will have to check Netflix instead of local network times. “The Island” and “Seabound” were once upon a time considered the same season, but changes have been made. According to the fan updated Wiki, the former is considered a miniseries and latter an official season. Niek van Slagmaat revealed on Twitter, “After the specialised launches like Prime Empire and Seabound, the markets asked for a wave with the classic Ninjago identity. We would not get any story continuing content in order to make sure we could get started on 2HY 2022 as early as possible. Thus, Core was born.”

The first two episodes have been released, and can be found on YouTube here.

Thoughts & Theories after Ninjago Seabound’s Finale & What’s Next?

Ninjago Seabound Promo PosterOn Teletoon Canada
Sundays 6:30am PST/ 9:30am EST

Spoiler Alert

The finale to Ninjago: Seabound is not at an end. It’s merely a huge part two and there are still threads to tie up. “Nyad” and “Turn of the Tide” make up the finale and it’s a tearjerker. Nya is fighting Kalmaar mono a mono, and elsewhere, Jay’s combat vehicle gets damaged. He may well drown if he’s not rescued soon. Sadly, by the time help arrives, he slips into a coma. Nya can’t bear to see him this way and realizes sacrifices must be made for some good to happen.

The Water Ninja learns how the tale of Nyad ends and she’s ready for change. She opens her katras up to accept another entity (or energy) to enter. She’s doing something similar to Jean Grey in Marvel’s X-Men (Uncanny, #101-108) comics by accepting the Phoenix Force. An interesting parallel must be made though. As she rises out of the water, the whirlwind is like Nadakahn’s (the villain from season six) dust tail. However, she is aware of who she is despite what Wu said, “Whatever you’re hearing, whatever you’re experiencing. Fight it, Nya. Remember who you are. Remember.”
