Unlike the days from when cable television was king, I’m often excited to see something new come to broadcast television. The landscape changed with streaming services, and new cartoon launches can occur anytime of the year. While I’m sticking to tradition, what I offer are series starting during this month as that was the tradition when having cable television was the norm. To note, I’m happy to see Cartoon Network is bringing back Totally Spies! to his slate. It’s not a new series, but I rather love the universe that animation studio Marathon (now known as Banijay Kids & Family) created. Martin Mystery was another series that debuted two years later.
> Although I’m not expecting a revival of this studio’s older works, what I’m looking forward to this year are the following. To note, not every series has a release date, but they are expected this year.
Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft

>When Netflix announced that their Tomb Raider anime series will fill in the narrative gap between the more recent prequel games and the original games’ timelines, that should be enough to keep me interested. Although I never kept up with the reinventions and more modern looking games, to have Hayley Atwell (Captain America, Agent Carter) provide the voice of Lara sounds perfect, and I can’t wait for the previews to begin!
