The big convention down in San Diego is almost here, and while I feel divided over where my allegiances should lean to first, I still have to see what I can ask my friends attending to pick up for me. Yes, some of these SDCC 2026 exclusives may be worthwhile grabbing while they are hot.
As for movies and special screenings, the biggest upcoming films naturally get a massive Hall H push, but that’s not why I follow this event from afar. I have to love Image Comics for their cheeky release, Dread the Hall H, and that read is simply spot-on!
When we already know Avatar Aang is coming sooner rather than later, what else is there to get excited about? Well, there is Attack of the Killer Tomatoes: Organic Intelligence. Plus, when a festival requires you to be there to see its special premieres, all anyone else has to do is remain patient. An eventual theatrical, streaming or art-house release is usually inevitable.
When much of the world remains in love with Marvel, DC, Funko and the like, I’m more interested in releases that celebrate pop culture as a whole, including past heroes and former glories. Therefore, this list leans more towards film enthusiasts, with a splash of superhero fun on top. And when there’s no guarantee of getting these items because a lottery system is now in place to ensure fairness, do I really need any of them? That depends on how much of a fan you are of a particular property. This year, Titan leads the pack!
Titan Entertainment
Anyone more interested in cinema history than vinyl figures should consider Titan’s Epic Booth #5537. Its lineup includes signed books, film retrospectives, novelizations, art collections and horror curiosities. Many also come with SDCC-only prints, pins or other bonuses. While these offerings reward the early bird with extra goodies, anyone who only wants the book can thankfully order it through Amazon or another favourite bookseller.
The Making of Aliens

Titan is celebrating the 40th anniversary of Aliens with an early release of its behind-the-scenes book. Each SDCC copy includes a Bugstomper pin and a chance to win a copy signed by director James Cameron. Author J.W. Rinzler, the same writer behind the definitive Making of Star Wars, chronicles how Cameron and producer Gale Anne Hurd brought Ripley back to the screen and surrounded her with an entire army of Xenomorphs. This is one of the better convention packages because the book still has value after the novelty pin finds its way into a drawer.

This behind-the-scenes history examines George A. Romero’s zombie classic and comes with an exclusive enamel pin. Author Simon Braund’s book is authorized by Image Ten, the film’s original production company, and digs into how a shoestring budget and a run-down Pennsylvania farmhouse became the birthplace of the modern zombie movie. Judith O’Dea, who played Barbra, is also scheduled to appear at Titan’s booth on Thursday and Friday.
Rocky Horror Show:
The Official Tarot Deck

A tarot deck connected to The Rocky Horror Show feels far more natural than it probably should. The 78-card deck reimagines the major and minor arcana through original illustrations of Frank N Furter, Riff Raff and the rest of the cast, with a guidebook explaining each card’s meaning. Titan’s limited SDCC supply includes a foil art card signed by Patricia Quinn, the original Magenta.
The Art & Making of Highlander

This anniversary book examines the making of Highlander and comes signed by director Russell Mulcahy. Written by Jonathan Melville, it’s billed as the first official art book for the film and pairs new cast interviews with previously unpublished concept art to mark the movie’s 40th anniversary. There can be only one, although Titan will presumably have more than one copy.
The Crow: The Definitive History

Bonus: Signed Peter Pound art print
Titan’s history of the 1994 cult film includes a print signed by concept designer Peter Pound. Author Jeff Bond traces the film’s roots back to James O’Barr’s graphic novel and covers Alex Proyas’ gothic visual style alongside Brandon Lee’s performance as Eric Draven. It should appeal to anyone interested in the film’s visual development, production legacy and long shadow over gothic cinema.
Mondo Returns to
Cult Films, Kaiju and Screen Printing
Mondo will operate from Booth #5137. Some releases will also appear online, although availability will depend on the item. The company has announced posters, soft-vinyl toys and art prints that sit comfortably outside the standard superhero conveyor belt.

Peach Momoko provides the artwork for this limited Kaiju No. 8 print. Momoko, known for her horror-tinged manga art and variant covers for Marvel, is illustrating a series that follows a monster-cleanup crew worker who gains the power to transform into a kaiju himself. It offers anime fans something more display-friendly than yet another blind-box figure.
Hedorah Pollution Glow-in-the-Dark Soft Vinyl

Hedorah returns in a toxic glow-in-the-dark colourway. The kaiju first appeared in 1971’s Godzilla vs. Hedorah as a sludge-like creature born from industrial waste and toxic runoff. It is still a variant, but radioactive pollution sludge is one of the few cases where glowing plastic feels narratively justified.
Godzilla and King Ghidorah on Planet X Poster Set

This paired poster set revisits the kaiju imagery of Planet X through Attack Peter’s bold graphic style. The imagery nods back to 1965’s Invasion of Astro-Monster, where aliens from Planet X borrow Godzilla and Ghidorah to help fend off a third monster threatening their world.

Horror Back to the Video Store
Chris Uminga will appear in Artist Alley at Booth #BB-18 with prints, pins and stickers. His most interesting new pieces tap into the battered horror tapes that once lurked along the back wall of every video shop.
Obsession Retro VHS Metal Print

Uminga’s Obsession artwork is presented as a metal print styled after a retro VHS horror cover. The piece pays tribute to Curry Barker’s 2026 horror film of the same name, a low-budget release that turned into one of the year’s biggest surprise box-office hits. The tiny edition and deliberately dated presentation give it more personality than the typical convention print.
The Lost Boys Print

The print revisits Santa Carla and the vampire atmosphere of The Lost Boys. The 1987 film follows two brothers who move to the fictional California beach town, only to discover it doubles as a hunting ground for a gang of teenage vampires. It will be available from Uminga’s Artist Alley table.
