This Seattle convention created to spotlight and empower female artists has announced the inclusion of comics writer, author, and journalist G. Willow Wilson.

Wilson is an award-winning American-born writer whose works are influenced by Middle Eastern culture and the supernatural.

While based in Egypt Wilson wrote her first graphic novel Cairo (2007), an action-adventure, for DC’s Vertigo. Cairo was listed as one of the best graphic novels for teens by the School Library Journal and the American Library Association. Cairo was also named best graphic novel of 2007 by Publishers Weekly and The Edmonton Journal.
