Top Three Choices to Hail In the Chinese New Year (2025 Edition)

Chinese New Year is almost here, and I offer my list on what I expect to be the top three films that’ll be big! And all the movie trailers I could find are also assembled here:

The Legend of the Condor Heroes:
The Great Hero

Tsui Hark is back behind the director’s chair to bring life to this classic tale. Many producers have attempted to adapt this novel and sadly, not every take is worth watching. These serialized attempts for television were okay. As for the shortened cinema takes, to say which is better is tough to say.

The key things everyone wants to know are what kind of life the scholar, Qiu Chujiof, and the patriotic heroes Guo Xiaotian and Yang Tiexin have. Their interconnected storylines can’t be compressed. As for this film, as the subtitle suggests, perhaps one individual will be the focus. It’s safe to say sequels focusing on the others may well be the future.
