2nd Wave of Artists Announced for Japan’s Cultural “Moshi Moshi Nippon Fest 2016!”

Cultural festival Moshi Moshi Nippon will be making its return to the Tokyo Taiikukan in Sendagayan this November 24-27. This festival will be 4 days filled with live performances, traditional culture, arts demonstrations, fashion shows, and food. Now in it’s third year, Moshi Moshi Nippon Fest 2014 saw 15,000 in attendance followed by a record of 25,000 in 2015. In 2016 the Moshi Moshi Nippon Festival has been promised to be bigger than ever. And as a special treat this year for non-Japanese citizens, those who pre-register will be given free entry.

Anna Yano(livetune+)

Model and singer Yano is known for performing the opening theme “All Over” for the anime “Magica Wars” and for “Stella Women’s Academy, High School Division Class C3”, “Shape My Story.”
Yano was a special guest of the media company Crunchyroll at 2015’s A-Kon convention in Dallas, Texas and she performed that same year at the J-Pop Summit event in San Franciso, California. Yano will be performing at Moshi Moshi with Toy’s Factory group livetune+, who has composed songs for artists Maon Kurosaki, ClariS, Kotoko, and Ryo of Supercell. Livetune+ has produced music using the Vocaloid 2 singing synthesizer software Hatsune Miku and have collborated with artists Megumi Nakajima and Yun*chi.

Akihabara based female idol group Dempagumi.inc

Dempagumi.inc have had 9 top-ten singles on Japan’s Oricon Weekly Single Chart, 7 of them were consecutive. Hits singles include “Sakura Appareshon”, “Demparty Night”, and “Otsukare Summer.” In 2015 they performed onstage at Hyper Japan in London, England.

Oricon chart Topper, Ram Rider is a member of the Ram Rider Crew, a group mainly consisting of a guitarist, bassist, DJ, and VJ. Previous hits include “Feels Gonna Feel” (it ranked 1st on the Shibuya club chart and 7th on the Oricon indie chart) and “Portable Disco” (reached #52 on the Orcion charts). Rider has produced music for artists Katase Nana and V6 and mixed for Hamasaki Ayumi and Suzuki Ami. Rider has performed at “Rock in Japan Fes 2005”, “Summer Sonic 2005”, and “Countdown Japan 04/05”.
