The next chapter in the Transformers saga is set to arrive on DVD October 20th, courtesy of Shout! Factory Kids and Hasbro. Transformers: Robots in Disguise follows after the events of Transformers: Prime, and with the focus on Bumblebee, viewers can learn about whether he has what it takes to become a leader like Optimus Prime.

This little yellow vehicle who could seems to have difficulty with accepting the fact that he’s now a leader. One aspect of this series’ charm is in seeing him trying to find that catch phrase that improves upon what Optimus Prime, who makes cameo appearances, often says. Bee has to lead a rag-tag team on Earth looking for escaped Deception prisoners.

The show will grow on fans as the larger story arc unveils itself, and in the first volume, viewers can rip into the first five episodes to find what the plan is. At the same time, Bumblebee has to find ways to manage his team which consists of a rebellious Sideswipe, a by-the-book Strong-arm, a bombastic Gridlock and an excitable Fixit in a junk yard owned by Russell Clay, that’s doubling as their HQ. To see them befriend this inventor’s son, Denny, gives this show the added human element and to see how they interact should have fans anxiously waiting for the next volume as threats visit the yard far too often, much to Russell’s chagrin.

As an added feature, a look behind-the-scenes is included in this release.
