IMAX’s FANFIX’s Into Darkness variant poster vs Man of Steel

Man of Steel PosterSadly, there will not be a FANFIX poster for Superman: Man of Steel. Collectors may feel disappointed but thankfully marketing is not going overboard in making every blockbuster movie event “special.”

Strangely enough, for this Friday, a 2nd variant poster will be made available for people going to see Star Trek: Into Darkness in IMAX 3D. This print will be available to the first 300 people, presumedly after leaving the show. The glow in the dark coating will be a different color to distinguish between the two editions.

New Man of Steel International TV Spot

But hey, Zack, if the Man of Steel film is dinner would it be too much to expect a Margot Kidder cameo as dessert.

I’m confessing I’m hungry now for the Man of Steel movie. This new international TV spot is causing me to drool. But before the new TV was released today I’ve had no interest in seeing another Superman reboot. After watching the line of Kirk Alyn, George Reeves and my personal favourite Christopher Reeve don the tights my need to watch Superman had been more than filled. I let the previous film incarnation slip by without so much as a glance, even though it had Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor (who I respect as an actor). But Michael Shannon as General Zod looks really good. I’m hoping his characterization of Zod is at least on par with Terence Stamp’s previous portrayal (who played Zod in the 1978 film Superman).

Man of Steel is directed by Zack Snyder with screenplay by David S. Goyer. Original story by David S. Goyer and Christopher Nolan. The character of Superman was created by the team of Jerry Siegel & Joe Shuster.
