Over the years, there have been many pairings and many confrontations. And honestly, I don’t think this combination has been explored before. To see a showdown in a film where zombies are fighting werewolves may well be the thing fans of the crossover have been waiting for, and Kaleidoscope Home Entertainment is going to deliver! Dead Howling will have its UK premiere at Tubi FrightFest Halloween 2026 on October 31. And instead of waiting, it will touchdown on digital, DVD and Blu-ray on November 2. That’s a nice two-day gap between big-screen scares and the couch.
FrightFest Halloween takes over the ODEON Luxe West End in London, and the film will screen twice on Halloween Day. If you miss the first showing, you get another shot. Brutal action, nightmarish monsters and a bleak, lawless wasteland are all on the menu. It’s an all-out clash where the dead and the damned collide.
The story follows Carter, a loner living in a world wrecked by a zombie virus. He spends his nights hunting the living dead for sport, thanks to a tremendous power of his own. (Yes, he’s the werewolf.) Things change when he saves two siblings, Megan and Billy, who are searching for a rumoured safe zone. Carter reluctantly agrees to protect them. The trio then has to outrun the next evolution of the undead, plus fellow survivors who might be just as dangerous.

The cast has some serious genre and pop-culture cred. Joel Jackson (Jungle) is joined by Ryan Kwanten (True Blood, Dead Silence), Temuera Morrison (The Mandalorian, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom) and Tom Burlinson (The Man From Snowy River, Flesh+Blood). John V. Soto directs. The producers also have Dog Soldiers and Terrifier 3 on their résumé, so expect some teeth and plenty of gore.
I’ll have my thoughts on the film once the embargo lifts. Will the werewolf or the walking dead come out on top? Stay tuned…
