In part two, I look at series set to stream or screen from October onwards. Although the Fall animated series I want to watch is specific, these are the shows I am more excited for than others. (Sorry Futurama)
Topping the list is the return to the world of Avatar, and no, I’m not talking about the James Cameron product! Instead, it’s the animated series to which fans of will finally get to see an exciting chapter not only for Aang in a cinematic release, but also the successor to Korra so we can find out how reincarnation works.
Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender
and Seven Havens

Synopsis: This entry covers and counts as two separate two Avatar projects that expand the franchise in different directions. The new Avatar: The Last Airbender series returns to a hero many fans grew up with, while Avatar: Seven Havens introduces the next incarnation after Korra. Pavi is a young Earthbender who inherits the Avatar mantle in an era that sees her as humanity’s destroyer rather than its saviour.
Alongside her long-lost twin, she must uncover the truth about her origins and save the Seven Havens. And in what makes the new series special is in how it brings South Indian cultural elements into its setting and visual identity. Together, the two series make Avatar one of the fall’s major animated events.
The Vermilion Mask

Synopsis: Apprentice mask maker Peru becomes possessed by the Mask of the Warrior God. When he accidentally kills his friends and his master, the legendary Gaston Roux, he must find a way to make things right. His most dangerous option is also the clearest one: destroy every mask his master created before more deaths occur. That mission sends him into a supernatural fight against the legacy he once hoped to inherit. One reason to watch is the cursed-object hook.
This animated take on The Mask meets Friday the 13th: The Series, with Peru facing a supernatural threat that is tied directly to his own mistake. Themes of guilt and revenge should give the horror premise more weight than a simple monster hunt. The story also has a clear end goal, but the question is whether Peru can destroy every mask before the deaths continue.

Set in the world of Night City and not continuing from where the last series left off, new stories and adventures are in store for its citizens. Just who we will follow includes Roman Carax, a cineste with a passion to expose the truth, and that’ll no doubt land him in trouble! As for Talia Yang, she’s decided to give up the high life in favour for hanging out with a street gang. It’s no Streets of Fire, as she’s no singer, but those two are just a sampling on who we’ll meet in this round of tales. Please check out my review of season one here.

Synopsis: In a lawless Steampunk West, outlaws, machines, and supernatural terrors overrun the land.
A father is forced to become judge, jury, and executioner in the hope of protecting his family. Each act of justice may ultimately cost him the very people he is trying to save. When vengeance drives the story, every attempt to impose order risks making the situation worse. When this individual’s role as judge, jury, and executioner gives every act of justice a personal cost, I have to wonder what motivates him so.
Beneath the fantastical setting, the series is inspired by Bass Reeves, the real-life Black lawman who worked as a U.S. Deputy Marshal in the post-Civil War American West.
