Maaya Sakamoto, Fate/Grand Order Top Hits and 30 Years in the Business….

Celebrations continue for Jpop fans who adore Maaya Sakamoto’s music. Not only is there a new release for Fate/Grand Order fans but also they can hear her unplugged.

The concert held April 18 and 19 at Tokyo’s Ariake Arena ended to great acclaim. And for those who missed the show or want a greatest hits, this artist is releasing a greatest hits album of sorts, titled Yoin. This album collects all six theme songs she performed for the smartphone JRPG and there’s a lot more to be included!

Disc one features all six theme songs from the smartphone role-playing game Fate/Grand Order, from “Shikisai,” which was released alongside the official game launch in 2015, to “Tokei,” the theme song for the final chapter released in 2025.

“Tokei” was released digitally last year and will be recorded on CD for the first time.

The first-press edition is a deluxe limited edition release that comes with a Blu-ray disc featuring previously unreleased footage. It is packaged in a three-sided sleeve case with an original double-sided illustration by Takashi Takeuchi of TYPE-MOON.

Maaya Sakamoto - Tokei - Artist PhotoTokyo-born artist Maaya Sakamoto began performing as a child actress at age eight and made her CD debut in 1996 with “Yakusoku wa Iranai.” Since then, she has built a wide-ranging career as a singer, lyricist, composer, voice actress, actress, essayist, and radio personality. Her major music milestones include the chart-topping 2011 album You Can’t Catch Me, her 2013 album Singer-Songwriter, and her 30th single, “Uchuu no Kioku,” produced by Ringo Sheena. In 2020, she released her 25th anniversary album, Single Collection+ Achikochi, along with the digital single “Yakudo,” which also topped the Oricon chart.

Sakamoto has continued to expand her creative reach through collaborations and songwriting. She has written lyrics for artists including Kinki Kids, Mamoru Miyano, and Walküre, and has composed music for other performers since 2013. Her long-running radio program “Vitamin M” reached its 1,000th broadcast in 2021, marking another major career milestone.

In recent years, Sakamoto has remained closely tied to the Fate/Grand Order series. Her digital single “Tokei,” released in December 2025, serves as the theme song for the game’s final chapter. To date, she has released 36 singles and 11 full albums, earning fans in Japan and around the world with her distinctive voice and versatile artistry.
