Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf Connection is set to Feature the Musical Stylings of Kaede Higuchi and Kanae

There’s more than Dungeons and Dragons in store with Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf! The music of Kaede Higuchi and Kanae will close off and may tie in to what’s going on when this anime debuts!

Kaede Higuchi and Kanae’s New Single Yummy YummyVTubing is very popular in Asia and they’re becoming much more mainstream. According to the latest news, the ending theme for the anime, Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf! will be sung by virtual idols Kaede Higuchi and Kanae. These two talents from the Nijisanji group operated by ANYCOLOR Inc. are getting noticee, and their song “Yummy Yummy” is set to debut January 29, 2025 and the series will begin broadcasting that month.

As for when this phenomenon will be noticeable in the Western world, that’s still an uncertainty. I fully expect it to happen at some point, but for now, I will just watch what this fast paced industry is pumping out and offer some editorial when it’s appropriate. I’m more curious about the anime, hence my interest about this news!

Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf Light Novel CoverWelcome to Japan, Ms. Elf! is a hybrid romantic comedy fantasy, blending slice-of-life slow living with isekai action. Written by Makishima Suzuki, the story follows Kazuhiro Kitase, a young man with the mysterious ability to travel to another world in his dreams, and Mariabelle, an elf girl who arrives in modern Japan after a certain incident. Together, they travel between their respective worlds, enjoying Japan’s scenery and delicious food while battling monsters and conquering dungeons.

“Yummy Yummy,” is a vibrant pop tune that naturally gets you moving. It evokes the image of someone imagining the flavors and textures of a variety of seasonal dishes placed before them while expressing the excitement and joy of trying new things.

The single will feature three tracks in total, including the title song “Yummy Yummy” and one solo song each by Kaede Higuchi and Kanae.

The jacket illustrations were specially created by yatoyato for the Limited Edition and Yappen for the Regular Edition. Both editions come with a trading card featuring their respective jacket designs. Additionally, the Limited Edition includes a slipcase and a booklet containing storyboards and illustrations for the “Yummy Yummy” music video.
