TakeshiKunitomoThere is a call-out by JHouse-Rock Entertainment for models who want to be a part of a fashion show at this year’s anime and cosplay convention, Sakura-Con. The purpose of the show is to present the latest fashions from Japan by designer Takeshi Kunitomo of Gouk. Sakura-Con runs March 25-27, 2016 at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle. Takeshi Kunitomo himself will be in attendance at this event. Submissions must be made no later than March 1, 2016. To learn more visit JHouse-Rock Entertainment’s official wesbite here.

Biography of Takeshi Kunitomo from Sakura-Con’s official website:

Takeshi Kunitomo was born in Fukuoka in 1970 and graduated from The Tokyo Bunka Fashion School in 1991. After graduating he performed as a fashion model in Tokyo and Paris. In 1993, he joined S-inc. and started the “T.KUNITOMO” brand.

Early on T.KUNITOMO presented a collection of “remade” American and French clothes. But in the wake of encountering Indian and Southeast Asian materials and traditional handicrafts T.KUNITOMO presented a unique collection that was conscious of the roots of Japan.

In 2001, he started his new brand GOUK which encompasses the concept of Japan and the ethnic brand “kugo”.All collection items are elegant and outrageous. Some of them are even designed with Japanese Kimono

In 2011, he spun off from the fashion division of S-inc. and became the president of KINCS. Takeshi Kunitomo works actively on developing young designers and total fashion management.

GOUK will be coming to us fresh from the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week TOKYO 2016 A/W”. This is GOUK designer Takeshi Kunimoto’s first appearance at Sakura-Con.
