Fourteen Minutes of Game of Thrones’ Season Four

By James Robert Shaw (The Wind up Geek)

GameofThronesCan I say once again thank you to the series that is Game of Thrones. Thank you to the writers, to the crew, to the actors, to the author George R. R. Martin and to you, the viewer, for making its continuation possible.

It is because of programming like Game of Thrones that I am rescued from the dredges of Reality TV, shows that are supposed to entertain the viewer. Most Reality TV programs are just glorified infomercials. There has always been people who have found infomercials entertaining, but not this lad. Now and again there are bright spots in television programming like the aforementioned Game of Thrones that magnetically draws me back. And for one hour a week, I may be genuinely entertained.

In the recent Game of Thrones promo, viewers are given over 14 minutes of Q & A with the actors and a behind the scenes look at season four. During the Q & A, the joy of watching the actors answer questions put to them by fans is very rewarding. Although two of my favourite actors, Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister) and Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister), made appearances, I was saddened to see Jerome Flynn (Bronn) was unavailable.

But all will be made right when episode one of season four airs on April 6, 2014.
