Coming to Netflix April 3, 2025
Just what fans of Jurassic World Chaos Theory need to recall is that the gang has one less member. Brooklynn is working with Santos, the enemy, and to keep her friends safe, she must cut ties with her past.
Although this series beginning sets up the belief where she was dead, this young former Vtuber has been alive all this time. She’s been undercover to find out who has been trafficking dinosaurs. After achieving some success, she must go further down the rabbit hole! It’s about time; the movies never went deep into what Biosyn Genetics wants to do with genetically modified dinosaurs.
While this formula is true to the spirit of the original tale that started it all, I’m glad the folks who are writing this story are exploring this subplot to its fullest potential! When compared to the films, there’s a lot more detail. With Mantah Corp being a rival organization, and Kenji’s father, Daniel, heavily involved, not even the first series (Camp Cretaceous) provided all the information. There are people who want to control these dinos. Whether that’s with microchips, sound, or a laser pointer, there are a few enigmatic callbacks to the live-action films to show how the animated series connects.

During the second season of Chaos Theory, someone found another way to control these beasts. As a result, I’m eager to see what Darious, Sammy, Ben, Yasmina, and Kenji will do next. From their perspective, although years have passed since leaving the island, a lot more trouble has been brewing.
I never appreciated the subterfuge until “C13v3rGr186,” and “The Adjustment” explained how vast this black market empire is. The kids can’t even leave their troubles behind because of all they experienced. When Darious left the Department of Prehistoric Wildlife, that’s because he believed he let the team down. He was supposed to have met up with Brooklynn, but chickened out. That ultimately led to her “death.” When they find out she’s still alive, they’ll have to figure out who is calling the shots.
Since then, the Nublar Six (a label given to them by the media) better figure out what’s going on. At first, the problems lay with finding who is kidnapping the reptiles. Furthermore, when their eggs become a commodity, the conspiracy is even nastier than anyone thought! When they discover someone known as The Broker is involved, curiousity gets the better of them. By the end of season one, the identity of this individual is revealed!

Although Soyona Santos is nasty, she’s not just a courier. I suspect she wants to make a power play. But in the meantime, I want to know who is pulling the strings, and that may get revealed in season three! Although Dr. Sarr survived being pushed down into a pit, I suspect he has more of a role to play. He replaces Wu from the films, and I rather like him when compared to previous mad scientists the teens (who are now young adults) have met.
With all these elements in place, I won’t be going to sleep once the episodes go live on Netflix come April 3rd!
