Captain America: Winter Soldier is going to get more than political in its new take at a look back at the Cold War. The fight will take to the skies with some impressive dogfights with Falcon in the lead if this new trailer is any indication. Yes, that is a spoiler, but anyone who has followed the casting talk and the forums will know who the superheroes are for this upcoming film.

Anthony Mackie looks very settled in as a S.H.I.E.L.D. operative who dons a set of steel wings to become Falcon. It also shows that whatever Marvel Entertainment has planned for the next X-Men movie, Apocalypse, the character of Angel becoming Archangel will definitely rock on the big screen. But getting back to the Avengers universe, this trailer also sets up an intrigue for what will no doubt be an espionage driven product. That will be a departure from the knock ’em out and sock ’em approach of past Marvel Entertainment movies, and from this fan: it’s about time!

This film takes place two years after the events of the Avengers, with Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) settling in to a modern life. But there is something from his past that will emerge to haunt him. Together, with Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson), they have to figure out who this “Winter Soldier” is, and perhaps try to figure out if he is friend or foe.

This highly anticipated sequel to Captain America will no doubt kickstart the Spring season of blockbuster films on April 4, 2014.
