Holy posable! Fans of the 60’s series must take a look at the figures of the dynamic duo from Hot Toys.
These figures of Batman and Robin are modeled after the 1966 Batman movie (rather than the series) and they come with nifty accessories.
The figures are crafted in 1/6th scale and have 30 points of articulation. Batman is approximately 30cm tall while Robin is 28cm.
They are expected to ship in Q2-Q3, 2014. They carry a hefty price tag but I must say that the look of the figures themselves are incredible. I’m not a toy collector to the extent that others are, but I may change my mind on these two. Maybe I’ll even acquire a museum-quality glass display case just for these figures as the start of a small collection.
Potential European customers can place orders or view the figures in more detail at Onesixthbruce.
North American customers can visit Sideshow Collectables.
I’m hoping this is only the beginning for Hot Toys and that we may see the release of the Batman movie villains. Having Lee Meriwether as Catwoman in my collection would be purr-fect.
