Although Legendary Comics is a division whose partnership with other studios has changed over the years, just how this affects the bottom line is still odd. Some departments are autonomous but still have to pitch to executives managing IPs to get the funding to move projects forward.
Here, all that’s known about the upcoming series is that the heroes have to travel into the Monsterverse to convince some titans to hide from Amanda Waller’s plan to create another Suicide Squad. My suspicion is that, and because the summary lacked detail, I had to consider her motivation for creating her own Jurassic Park.
I’m more curious about how Christian Duce will bring Rodan, Mothra, and King Ghidorah to life! As a massive fan of the tri-headed dragon, I’ll pick up anything and everything featuring her! While Brian Buccellato is great at building the action, those cliffhangers he sticks in have me planning. I’m on the fence concerning whether I want to buy monthly or the eventual trade.
The only reason I’m interested in continuing to read is that once the three-headed dragon was announced, I got excited. She’s the only villain whom I adore in all the countless iterations introduced throughout the various works, and when Duce is going to draw her, I can’t wait!
Plot Summary:
The Justice League returns to Legendary Earth! In the aftermath of last year’s Justice League vs Godzilla vs Kong, Task Force X launches a plan to develop hybrid Titans that Amanda Waller can control to guard against future titan attacks on our Earth. To stop Task Force X, the Justice League travels to Legendary Earth and must face the dangers of the Hollow Earth, Kong, and Godzilla, King of the Monsters!
